Mrs Nur's POV
Dance studio
"For the Chinese immersion that happens right after getting back your final exam results, you will have to prepare a 7-minute performance," I announced. "This time, we have decided to make things easy because our lead is in the immersion itself—Shine Your Light and the Symphony of Dreams theme song—Future Harmony, Future Hope. Crystal, you'll be leading both because you're the lead. I trust everyone can work this among themselves."
Crystal's POV
My heart skipped a beat as I realised I had to fulfill another responsibility. It wasn't as big this time, but it was really time sensitive. I was told I could come back during the September holidays to help with the preparation of the dance item and teach them the moves, but I decided to make everyone's lives easier by having Saturday practice which was greenlit by Mrs Nur.
That Saturday
We assembled at the concourse in our PE attire, where I decided to lead everyone in teaching them the moves to the official version of "Shine Your Light". The performing arts students had no qualms about the movements, easily mastering them with just my visual and verbal instructions. However, everyone else was struggling, even past NDP participants like Ethan. Their heads were in the direction of all known performing art students, as they giggled nervously and tried to do it their way. I wasn't stupid to not notice it though, so I decided to take a pause and let theme practice themselves, where I deployed random performing arts students to help those that were struggling with the dance movements. As for me, I decided to guide another student with the moves. Little did I know, when I approached the last person left...

?: You're Crystal, right?

Crystal: Yes.

Leah: I'm Leah, and I'm in your sister's CCA! Only saying this because you and Chloe look so similar.

But she was an easy mentee for a first time dance mentor for me. As I used analogies and actually showed the moves to her, she cutely tried to follow my moves, and asked questions like "this?". I was either saying "yes" or "no" to those kind of questions, as I slowly watched her improve. That gave me a pinch of nostalgia as I thought back to what Fiona Tan did for me.
Flashback
The previous year
Hall
"Isn't it like this?" Keira asked me as we tried to figure out the moves we were practicing. "Like hand pull out, foot push out..."

"I don't know, shouldn't we be raising our hands for this," I replied.

"You are both incorrect," a girl with a wavy ponytail and indigo glasses replied. "You should pull your hand out and into a fist concurrently. No no no, it's not concurrent, consecutive. Yeah yeah yeah, think of it as a chain reaction y'know! And make sure you have power for that."
Present day
My heart melted when I saw her slowly getting better at the movements. Inside of her was the past version of me, trying her best to make sure her moves were good enough to be kept as a main performer for NDP. Now, I was able to pass this kindness to someone else, and it glad I continued this tradition of student service!
