Ethan's POV
Crystal: Today's really going to a rigorous day, huh? We're not only hosting people from China today, but also having our A Math WA3.

Ethan: Yeah, time flies. It used to be me being the most involved in all these extracurriculars, but now you've caught up. And we fought a great battle with Mr Sam's manipulation techniques...I think I'll do fine now that I'm not following his suggested scheme to push my A Math grades up.

Crystal: It's been a busy season for us both. Like you always tell Chloe, let's do our best.

Ethan: Yea, let's.
Xingqiu's POV
"我们现在有测验,请出去!" Crystal ordered in Chinese. The four exchange students looked at one another confused before YZ did the job of escorting all three of them to the library. The rest of 3 Faith separated the tables as we quizzed one another until the last minute, where we were forced to shut up and the exam regulations were read out to us. The exam papers were then passed down the row and the timer started.

I flipped over the paper and something felt off. Why wasn't I able to remember anything I had studied? It made perfect sense to me when I was studying with 8 point compass but not here and now. Tapping my pen on the test impatiently, I was only able to squeeze out everything I remembered, sweat collecting on my face as the test went on. The only things I could remember were the humiliating moments where I was yelled at for making mistakes. Am I in flight or fight? Was it Mr Williams' unreliable methods to studying A Math? Else, I wouldn't be gawking in my shoes, sweating and clamming up like this. It must be either of those.
Crystal's POV
The test was surprisingly easy despite all the chaos during my extracurriculars. I breezed through the paper, remembering every formula I've learnt and all the help I got from Ethan. I was effortlessly punching my calculator and answering the questions as I remembered them to be. After all, getting away from such a toxic teacher really did wonders to my wellbeing and absorbing information into my head. I'm better off getting help from Ethan or Lucas for A Math.

"Time's up!" Mr Sam announced enthusiastically. "Now I will pick up your papers and rush to my form class to grade them. Anyway, I asked the other form teacher to conduct the racial harmony programme on my behest. I am looking forward to distinctions, especially from the couple." My heart skipped a beat and I felt knots gathered in my stomach. Has he lost his mind? He wasn't like this when the school year started, but now he's a psychopath that micromanages our every move, making sure our goal was succeed in A Maths even though half the class was in the musical and a small fraction of us had to host people from overseas. I wanted to scream and protest, but he didn't give a fuck and just dismissed us. For Ethan, Crystal  and myself, we were rushing ourselves to our next venue, where I realised Xingqiu looked like he saw a ghost.
Later that night
Xingqiu's POV
Xingqiu: The paper actually went so badly! I didn't know what to answer half the time.

Shenhe: We have had such busy extracurriculars, so it ate up into our studying time. But let's just breeze through this and hope we can get out of this with just a pass.

Xingqiu: But my parents will hate me...I have never scored anything below a 70 for maths.

Shenhe: No biggie~ it's not our EOYs. If anything there's time to get over this and you'll probably get back up no matter what happens. They were students once, maybe they'll understand.

Xingqiu: Thanks.

Shenhe: Let's try and focus on something more positive then! Like the upcoming National Day celebrations!
