John's POV
The exams are around the corner, but Lucas believes that we should all keep our mental health in check and not burn out before our exams. We have to study more because of that, but sometimes, we keep our recess and weekend routines as they are to ensure our mental health doesn't drop over the exams.
Crystal's POV
"Aren't you guys even an inch worried you're gonna fail?" Keqing asked all of us, getting close to all of us and poking her head into mine.

"Well, good grades are important, but we don't want to get them at the sake of our mental health! So we're going to take a break! You should too; don't come crying to me when you fail your EOY!" I replied, dragging the rest of 8 point compass to the canteen.
Canteen
I placed my lunchbox on the table and opened it, tucking into my bento meal for the day. Meanwhile, Lucas, YZ, John and Nicole dash to buy drinks since it's enough for them. Anika goes to the halal stall to buy food; Ethan and Chloe the noodles. They eventually come back with their consumables, and it becomes a hearty time of eating and catching up with one another about our lives outside the books.

Lucas: So are you still friends with Larry?

Crystal: That guy I posted on my IG? It's too early to tell, we saved each other numbers but he did message me a bit and tried to call me. He failed.

John: Yea, we should seriously lock in! You did the right thing!

Chloe: Also I wonder how it was like being with that super cute Keira! You are so blessed to be in the same group as her!

Crystal: It was so fun! She remained her preppy self as always, and at some point I was giving her a piggy bank ride around the camp!

John: I saw! And then he [Larry] suddenly wished me happy birthday without me telling him, so Keira jumped onto him and held him in a chokehold. I hope it's not because he stalked Crystal on Instagram before our phones were safekept...

Nicole: Keira is that strong?!

Ethan: She's in my CCA [table tennis], so her arms are quite strong of course.

YZ: I heard you were in the same group as Christina during OBS. How was it?

Ethan: She was very sweet, and was permanently checking up on others. I was so worried she'd be hugging people without their consent because of how she and Crystal are constantly cuddling each other to their deaths, but she kept her hands to herself surprisingly.

Anika: Of course she would! She's the student council vice president; of course she doesn't cuddle strangers randomly!
Nicole's POV
Nicole's room
Something that is exclusive to the members of 8 point compass would be game nights, usually on Roblox. We decided to keep that during the exam season so that we could destress from all the stress placed on us, especially for subjects we needed redemption in. Our go to was always Murder Mystery 2, and that weekend night was no exception.

Everyone logged in one by one and we all circled around the lobby like aimless kids before we were all sent to the game site and then had to murder (or escape) based on our roles. While connected to the WhatsApp call, we mumbled loud prayers to be the murderers or sheriffs since they were the more rare roles to get. After all, innocents just make sure they don't die...I take that back, I'm a sheriff!

When the timer ran out, I spawned off, running around to make sure I was going after the correct murderer. While I was at it, the rest of us decided to talk about our preparations and internally freak out about every subject for some reason or another. If Ethan wasn't overthinking about Chinese, Crystal was screaming her head off about Literature in English. I giggled as they were running around the server to avoid the murderer and also their problems in a deeper context, reassuring them I was also fretting over A Math. All my grades have improved...except A Math. Eventually, I found myself near the murderer and knew it was time to act. Hence, I pulled out my weapon and shot the murderer down, letting out a loud cheer. "So you were the sheriff all this while?" Chloe screamed.

"Yes I was! And I knew all along you were the murderer!" I replied back. We had a good laugh after that. Even though it was important for us to put in the effort to study for our exams, we can't truly perform if we burn out before the "Great War," right? I'm glad we're all navigating a way to balance work and life together!
