Xingqiu's POV
"Xingqiu, come with me," Mr Williams announced after A Math, forcing me to get my A Math materials and stationery with me. I zoomed off for "extra 1 to 1 lessons" with Mr Williams.
Study corner
This forced extra lesson sped past in a blur. Mr Williams still persisted in zooming by his lessons, expecting that literally all his students would be able to catch up to his fast pace. He hunted down extra questions for me to do and made them do it on the spot. The answers were definitely checked on the spot as well, and then he'll yell at me if I got even one (1) question wrong, saying that "I had a gift in math and I should know everything." Sometimes his screaming grabbed the attention of other teachers and students, who would turn around and make sure I wasn't sexually assaulted. I ended up leaving the lesson with flushed cheeks. That was a close shave from getting physically beaten up!
Mr William's expectations on me are literally piling up on me. He is expecting me to live up to the "only math student that never got a B" standard even though student council is stressing me out because that's how I got here and making sure I do a good job hosting the people from China, my efforts making up for my lack of talent in Chinese. Can't he tell I'm also doing my best?
Shenhe's POV
3 Faith classroom
"He gave you more lessons?" I asked in shock. Xingqiu nodded and a fire within me was ignited.
How was a teacher this biased and cruel? He keeps giving a little more homework to Xingqiu than the rest, and now he's giving him even more lessons?! This speaks volumes about favouritism at this point, and he's pressuring Xingqiu to keep his A-streak. Xingqiu has 7 other subjects to study and Mr Sam's expecting him to specialise in maths at such a young age. He's not going to survive if he lets Mr Sam control him, and I should let him before he sets himself up for failure. Yes, I know how to do it nicely.

Shenhe: I don't mean to rain on your parade, but you shouldn't attend his next extra A Math lesson. 1 to 1 or otherwise.
Xingqiu: Why?
Shenhe: He is actually manipulating you and favourites you above all of us. All the times he criticised you even when you got the A Math question right? That's not a teacher. Sucking up your energy during free periods? That's not a teacher. Expecting you to maintain your A streak even under pressure? Definitely not a teacher. You're better off staying in class and secretly sneaking in some Chinese questions for me to give you pointers, because you've consistently struggled in that.
Xingqiu: Oh my goodness, I didn't know that! Thanks for telling me, but what if Mr Williams finds out?
Shenhe: That should be the last thing on your mind. If he ever scolds you for missing lessons, I'll launch a report. You should talk to 8 point compass too, this is what they care about so they'll definitely do something.
Xingqiu: Anyone?
Shenhe: Anyone; Chloe if you must.
