A "Chronicles of Peace" AU where Crystal does much better in her academics, she accepts the offer to take 8 subjects hoping she'll have more options if she can't...
Kiera's POV Our exams are officially over, which means it's time for marking days! And when it's marking days, the first thing any teenager in Singapore would do is to hang out with their friends! Unless if you're a floater or outcast, that is. The author may be a floater friend, but I'm neither! It's hangout all the way! HAHAHA Bowling alley "So that's the student council guy you wanted to invite?" Teddy asked in hesitation, pointing Ethan who was grinning widely. The rest of us nodded and we put down our things, taking our bowling lane. We registered a 6 person game in and put in our names. I definitely put mine in as Kei, Teddy as Ted, Crystal as Rys, Fiona as Fi and...Ethan as Ethanol?!
"Isn't that a bit too long?" I screamed.
Ethan burst out laughing. "Well, it's my nickname! Exclusive to two of my friends and my family!" He uncharacteristically squealed. Teddy's POV While Keira, Fiona and Crystal were laughing till their faces turned red, I decided to have a go at the bowling. Picking up the ball, I adjusted my positioning and kicked my leg back. I then slowly lifted my arm up, now allowing my head to adjust to the bowling pins in front of me. Once I got into a good position for a strike, I swung my hand forward. The ball continuously rolled down the alley and hit the sole pin, which made it much easier to breathe. The shot started with the sole pin and headed to the rows further down...I had gotten a strike!
I heard soft applause behind me and it was all my friends smiling softly at me. After passing the ball to Keira, I turned to Ethan, who looked like he wanted to tell me something. - Ethan: Well, unlike a certain someone, you do have an identity of your own, huh?
Teddy: What do you mean?
Ethan: You have your special people, but you don't make it your whole world. And you don't engage in two activities and just two activities unless it's connected to your special people.
Teddy: So my strike reminded you of Chloe?
Ethan: Yea. Like you're in Infocomm, but you have a backbone. You don't make girls your identity.
Teddy: I never did. It's ok to have female friends, but not to fixate on them. Looks like we're alike in that sense. So what's up with her? Chloe's overexcited descriptions of you don't seem to suggest that. (imitating Chloe) Oh, you know Ethan managed to win Simon in a badminton game? Oh, you know Ethan got the highest in literature? How I wish to be him. Oh you know Ethan just got into the student council? If only they chose me.
Ethan: I've been thinking about letting go of her and focusing on other areas of my life. I've had enough being her servant and world; I can't give her that.
Teddy: For someone like you, it's probably for the best.
Ethan: Really?
Teddy: Judging from what Chloe is saying, I've always had an impression you're goal driven and outgoing. Who knew that'll be true? Hey, tell me what she says about me!
Ethan: Do you really want to know?
Teddy: I don't mind hearing the truth. I mean, I've been trying to tell her to focus on herself for once but it's like talking to a wall. She's cooked if she keeps this up; I mean, you never considered animation as a course, right?
Ethan: How do you know?
Teddy: "Chloe, stop drawing on your iPad and contribute." "Cher, I need to complete this MAP part!" I was like "huh" and then found out later it stands for multi-animator project.
Ethan: WHAT SHE DID THAT? 😂 THAT IS SO CHARACTERISTIC OF HER! And you know what's even more characteristic of her? She thinks you remind her of this guy. The guy: (Tenya Iida from MHA)

Teddy: Bad way or good way?
Ethan: Doesn't sound positive. In my lower sec friend group chat she was like "OMG that Teddy is so intimidating like Tenya during the Hero Killer Stain fight." Keira drops the bowling ball Crystal: KEI YOU OK?!
Keira: Yea I'm fine. See? It didn't even hit my toes? Totally fine!
Fiona Tan: She said what?
Ethan: "OMG that Teddy is so intimidating like Tenya during the Hero Killer Stain fight." When we were talking about our CCA life.
Keira + Fiona: Good choice!
Crystal: They're right. The fact people that never really formed a bond with you have something to say about her means...it's best if you keep a distance between her and you.
Keira: Well, congrats on being the last person to find out [Chloe is 💩 for your mental health]!
Fiona Tan: It's your turn next. Let's see what the Ethan that doesn't give in to Chloe has in store of us! Ethan's POV Fiona Tan's words gave me the fuel I needed. Once Keira got a 9 for her turn, I collected the ball from her and adjusted myself to the position of the last pin. Enough to face it, but not enough to cause a gutter ball. I leant forward, kicking my left leg to the back. Raising my right hand slowly, I released the ball onto the bowling alley once at an angle comfortable for me and let it roll. The ball slid through the alley and sent the last pin flying, causing everyone near me to gasp loudly, before loud applause circulated through the range.
"Well, this is the Ethan I know," Crystal remarked confidently. "And also, I didn't know table tennis wasn't your only good sport."
"I've gone here with student council friends a few times," I replied, face flushing. "I assume you just go here with your army."
"Haha, it's not that. I've played bowling video games with Chloe at home."
