Chapter 69: The revival of the compass

YZ's POV
"You guys still want to carry out the trip even despite everything?" Chloe and I chorused.

"We have forgiven both of you deep down," Ethan admitted. "Let's take this trip to truly reset and prepare for the next semester. It's not going to be easy with Keqing and gang around, so we must stick together more than ever. Especially because Keqing and gang love to attack Chloe." We decided to count to 8 again with our arms in once more and raised them all at once with our luggage surrounding us. Crystal picked hers up and beckoned us to the immigration, because our first adventure in a month had just started!
Lucas' POV
Bali night market
"This Sate is so yummy!" I admitted out loud while at the tables of a night market. We decided to visit some museums and try various local delicacies at a night market. I dragged my teeth through the sateh in which I dipped into with peanut sauce. I didn't think meat and peanut sauce would be such a legendary combination! Ethan knew I had fallen in love with the Sateh with peanut sauce and dropped his sunfishes sateh onto my plate, which caused the rest of the group to erupt into laughter.

"I didn't think you were this hungry a wolf," Anika admitted calmly. "You usually don't act like this even when you eat stuff like this from our school canteen."

"You only live once," I replied, mouth half full with the lamb meat.
Crystal's POV
Kelingking Beach
I screamed as Ethan relentlessly squirted the water on me, and picked up my water gun and squirted it back to Ethan. He started laughing despite the water droplets splattered all over this glasses. I didn't receive as much of the glasses as much, but I had a hearty laugh. When was the last time we had this much fun? But then, that doesn't matter. What matters is that we're back as 8, smiling wider than ever.

All of a sudden, I received a cold splash from behind, and looked behind. It was John! Smirking to myself, I scooped water and splashed on him. He was thrown off guard and fell into the water. I giggled. He's so innocent when he gets caught off guard. I'm glad to be spending such precious moments with the boys I love most.
Ethan's POV
Tegunan waterfall
After taking a picture of the waterfall with my camera, I beckoned Chloe to stand in front of it. I pitched my voice, beckoning for her to look into the camera with a natural smile. Snapping the photo, the photo revealed her with a natural smile and her looking more beautiful than ever. I smiled to myself. She was the most beautiful girl I have known so far, and I hope someday she'll embrace this fact too.
Nicole's POV
Tour bus
We decided to do a relaxing night tour on a bus for the last moments before returning to Singapore. Getting a good view of some Indonesian parade Chloe was filing on her phone, the fireworks started at some point. I successfully managed to convince Ethan to take a photo of this moment. He bargained that it was too dark, but relented when the rest of us shone our phone torchlights in his direction. He tiptoed for this moment and we spent the rest of the tour watching the fireworks as 8.

This whole Keqing fiasco made us stronger. We were closer than ever after having the much needed time apart and really practicing our principles that we established from Day 1. The musical is coming faster than ever, and is so the school based NDP. But regardless what our CCAs are or our academic prospects, I resolved that we'll have a bond so strong even Keqing would be too scared to break it.
