Ethan's POV
Tapping my foot impatiently, I waited for the judges to call me into the audition room. I decided to audition for the Teacher's Day auditions with "pick up the phone" by Henry Moodie on the electric guitar as a way of thanking Crystal for helping me through the whole Mr Williams issue, and as a symbol of admiration towards Crystal who "picked up the phone" when she was crumbling. Unlike me, who got rescued as a damsel in distress in a less than ideal state.

Soon enough, Keira opened the door and screamed, "ETHANOL!"

"You can come in for auditions," Jennifer told me coolly.

Jennifer dragged the amplifier towards me and I plugged the cable in, where I did a test run of the guitar. Once I ensured sound quality, I gave the judges a thumbs up and slung the electric guitar around my body.

My fingers just ran through my guitar, left hand adjusting the key, right hand changing the notes. Meanwhile, I belted out with the technique I worked on and the passion behind why I chose my song, the melody of the strings melting with my voice. Yet, I knew that I was able to pull it off despite two weeks of practice. After all, I never stopped once and my voice didn't end up cracking thanks to straining.

The final note was soon played, and everyone applauded and squealed for me. I thanked them for their time and packed up my guitar, rushing out back home. I actually hope rumours ain't going around that I'm now in a band.
Crystal's POV
"And time is up," Mrs Nur announced. I prepared my answer script to pass to her, then rushed to the music room. Yes, I had my literature WA and a solo audition on the same day.

For my teachers' day audition, I'm going to perform a self-choreographed dance to the song "If" by More More Jump. I wanted to dedicate my item to the whole of 3 Faith to encourage them after being crushed by our toxic A Math teacher that basically drained the life out of everyone. We had to stick and band together if we wanted to see the light at the end of the tunnel, and I wanted to perform for their sake. For the hope of a better future.

"Crystal, you can come in," Keira announced. I took off my school skirt to reveal my PE shorts, running into the room.
Music room
"Alright, I found the MP3 file on your phone," Jennifer mumbled. "I'll just play it here. You know who you are, record the audition with your head down."

With energy and poise, I executed my moves with elegance, remembering the meaning of the lyrics. My moves reflected the meaning of the song, but I had to make sure my technique didn't crumble under the pressure of the judges! I put on a smile throughout, executing my moves with energy in some parts and elegance in others. I could've frozen up, but I just kept eye contact with the judges who I didn't know about prior to that moment.

The audition came to an end soon, and everyone clapped for me. I thanked them and quickly left for home, praying that I got in.

Mrs Nur's POV
"What nonsense was she writing..." I mumbled to myself. The literary genius wasn't herself, tripping up over quotes I went through in class. Was it musical stress or did she not study enough? Either way, she was misinterpreting all the quotes for Romeo and Juliet all the way. I wanted to empathise with her, but the musical was reaching its most intense point at this point—we're having full runs of the school musical. It would all be over soon, and we'd have to focus on the EOY. She needed to get it together—fast. As I wrote 11 on her test paper, I rested my heads on my hands. How was I going to break the news to her?
