Chloe's POV
I was expecting my sister to appear at the first moment of the show, but then emerged a bunch of other people other than my sister. I felt my face fall seeing them dance to a happening song and even singing to it! Hence, I turned around to ask Ethan and Anika for some hints. And that was when I learnt Crystal wasn't going to be revealed at the first scene because it was her watching the show from afar. Rather, her debut was at some acting activities later on.

But she started out the musical well. She was in sync with her teammates, her elegance in cheerleading and her unison showing. Her voice didn't stick out to me, but it was because she was a good team player and was able to coordinate with her friends from the performing arts. If only I was this good of a team player...
John's POV
For the matinee and gala dinner for the upper secondary students, I was in charge of taking photos there and then. I strolled around the hall in my class shirt, wanting to find a perfect moment to capture. All of a sudden, I decided to capture a moment from the meeting room dance. But which one? Everyone was moving vigorously so any photo I tried to get in would come off as "shoddy", at least in my standards. When the notes started descending however, I got my camera ready to snap a moment, specifically the final pose. My camera aimed perfectly at the soloist for the final moment, and captured it perfectly. Well, I felt that I needed to take photos of people other than Crystal during school events for a change, and I'm glad I did.
Crystal's POV
"I don't need to be in a home that doesn't support my love for performing!" I screamed through the wireless microphone. "I hate you!!" I then turned around and dashed off stage, then spinning a few times before I stumbled to a piano crying (or "crying"). The drama team shifted the props around and the lights turned around, making it my time to start playing the piano.

The musical has been in my blood for the past few months, and now it was my time to shine with everything I've got. All the sacrifices I made for a once in a lifetime opportunity, I knew they were worthwhile.
Nicole's POV
As the choir assembled in front of the stage, we listened out for the cue to start singing "A million dreams." When our student conductor signalled for us to start, we took a deep breath and started singing in unison. For me, I kept my pitch high but didn't force my way through. Rather, I let my talent for singing and newfound discipline thanks to the musical take over, showing everyone how much I love to sing. It's like the musical has made me a whole new person, and I'm here to prove that.
YZ's POV
When Lucas gave us the cue, I blew into the saxophone and it felt like I did it better than at the rehearsals. I felt freer than a prisoner that has been released after a decade of serving his sentence, yet my technique truly fleshed out. I could say my playing had the finesse but not in a hyperactive way. Lucas has been joking that my personality has calmed down thanks to the personality, but I never understood what that meant until I was playing the saxophone with the whole orchestra. After all, I felt like I was one with orchestra, and my playing didn't stick out like a sore thumb anymore.
Shay's POV
Plucking the strings of the guzheng carefully, I could feel the rain splattering on the classroom windows. Or at least that's how my assigned instrument was supposed to work. We all worked together to create a dynamic melody that did justice to the preppy song we had to play, and I didn't mind making my usually gentle instrument have a more gregarious tune then. I had flashbacks with my mentor teaching me how to make my playing more dynamic. This musical made me realise instruments could be played in many different ways, making me realise the diversity in music.
Ethan's POV
Outside the hall
Lucas: SECONDARY 3 STUDENTS!! I KNOW IT'S TEMPTING TO SHOWER CRYSTAL WITH PRESENTS, BUT GIVE YOUR GIFTS TO HER IN AN ORDERLY MANNER. IF YOU WANT TO TELL HER ANYTHING, DO SO ON MONDAY!
(softer) at some point I'll have to ask the rest to give them to her on Monday and later

Ethan: This is on behalf of the non-performing arts 8 point compass members. We worked on this for the last week and we decided to give this to you as a way of acknowledging your hard work during the course of the musical.

Crystal: Thank you Ethanol! Will the others get a bouquet?

Ethan: Actually, no! Every member gets something different winks I'll give Nicole her autograph book I got from all our non performing arts mutuals.

Lucas: Wait wait wait. What about my gift?

Ethan: Be satisfied with this box of chocolates. You can have them tomorrow though, I know you'll be using your voice quite a bit today for all of Crystal's fans.

Lucas: As expected of Ethan, thanks!
