A Night at the Prince's Residence

Tonight, as promised, I’m going to visit Alden’s residence. I might end up staying the night.

A servant handed me a white outfit to wear for the occasion.
Alden had told me before, "When you visit me, wear something formal. It’s part of the etiquette here."

I understood. He was just following the customs of nobility.

Now that I’ve put it on… it feels a little awkward. I’m not used to clothes like this. Honestly, I feel a bit more feminine than usual. It’s kind of embarrassing.

Back in our previous life, Thoru and I were close friends. We often spent the night at each other’s houses. Sometimes he stayed at mine, sometimes I stayed at his. Nothing weird about it.

He said, "We haven’t had a good talk in a while."
Maybe tonight will feel like a trip down memory lane.

When I arrived at Alden’s manor, he was already waiting for me.
His eyes widened the moment he saw me.

She looks like a princess… so cute, he thought.

“W-Welcome, Avrora!” he greeted nervously.

“As promised, I’m here, Your Highness.”

I deliberately used his formal title. With so many guards around, I had to be careful. If I got too casual, I might be seen as disrespectful. So annoying.

“Come on in,” he said.

His residence was grand—classic in style, lavish in every corner.
Do all princes live this luxuriously?

“Avrora, this is my room. Come inside.”

I was a bit surprised. He invited me into his room so casually. Despite being a prince, he still treated me like the friend he used to know. That comforted me.

“What's wrong, Avrora? You’re spacing out,” Alden asked.

“Oh, nothing. Just admiring your place.”

He opened the intricately carved door to his room. When I stepped inside, I was stunned—it was huge and luxurious. Fit for a king, really. But I guess that made sense… he is a prince.

“Alden, can I try lying on your bed?”

“Of course. Why not?”

Thump!

I threw myself face-down onto the bed.

The mattress was unbelievably soft—far softer than the one I’d slept on at Prince Leon’s inn.

“So comfy!”

Alden watched me as I lay sprawled across his bed. His gaze drifted to my legs and lower back. His face turned red, and he held his head.

Why, Yuu… why did you have to be reincarnated as a girl? This is not good…

“What is it, Alden? Why’s your face so red?”

“N-No! It’s nothing, really!”

His voice suddenly cracked.
Maybe he’s embarrassed because I’m a girl now?

“Alden, are you feeling shy because I’m a girl now? Come here and sit. You don’t see me as a woman, right?”

“O-Of course not!”

“Good. That’s a relief.”
I smirked. “So, Alden. You’re a prince now, yet I never see you with any women. Unlike Zen, who always has girls around.”

He looked at me seriously.
“I’m not that kind of guy.”

“Wait… don’t tell me… you’ve never dated anyone?”
