Helplessness

The Japanese government contacted Shin through a special communication line. The serious face of a military officer appeared on a holographic screen.

“Report, Lord Shin. A girl tried to destroy the black hole we've secured.”

Shin frowned. “What…? Don’t tell me…”

He stood from his chair, his expression laced with suspicion.

“Could she… be someone from this world as well?”

Driven by curiosity, he immediately returned to Earth, heading straight for the incident site.

My body was shattered. Open wounds were scattered everywhere. My left arm… broken. My left leg… barely able to move. My left eye blurred, a stabbing pain behind the lid.

I lay helpless, bound by heavy chains in a dark room lit only by faint lights. In this world… energy regeneration was agonizingly slow. Far too slow for someone like me, who had lived by magic.

“…Ai-chan?”

No response. Normally, her gentle voice echoed within my mind. But now—only silence. She must’ve shut down due to the energy depletion.

I let out a long breath. “Haaah…”

The night sky loomed beyond the bars. There wasn’t much I could do. Maybe… just for tonight, I should sleep.

But that thought was cut short when I suddenly felt something vile touch my thigh.

Startled, I snapped my eyes open.

A bald, burly old man with a disgusting grin was stroking my thigh.

“Well, well… You’re awake, pretty girl?” he said, reaching up to touch my cheek.

“Disgusting filth!” I spat, “What the hell do you think you’re doing, you sick creep?!”

“You’re even cuter when you’re angry,” he chuckled and began to climb over me.

I turned my face away and shut my eyes tight. My chest felt tight. I couldn’t move—Not like this… not like this!

“Hoe! What do you think you're doing?!”

A sharp male voice rang out from the door.

The perverted guard jumped back in panic, bowing profusely.

“S-Sorry, General!”

A young man with blazing red hair stepped inside, followed by a familiar figure—Charlote.

My eyes widened. No… Please don’t recognize me...

The man stared at me, then turned to Charlote.

“Hime-sama, do you know this girl?”

Charlote narrowed her eyes at me. She placed a finger on her chin. “No... I don’t recognize her. But… this energy residue—it’s the same as the one I fought before. There's no mistaking it. She’s Avrora.”

“Damn it!” I bit my lip.

Shin’s lips curled into a satisfied grin. “So you’re the one causing all the trouble. I’ve been watching you from afar. Avrora, the little queen from another world… You’ll rot here. And once you’re gone, your kingdom will fall into my hands. Hahaha!”

I shouted, even though my body couldn’t rise. “Touch a single citizen of my kingdom, and I swear—I will kill you with my own hands!”

Shin crouched down and leaned close to my face.
