Avrora — My First Day at the Human School

As I opened the classroom door, the once-bustling room instantly fell silent.
Dozens of eyes turned toward me, and—just as I expected—whispers began to ripple among the students.

> “Who’s that girl? She’s gorgeous.”
“I’ve never seen her before. Did she walk into the wrong class?”

I let out a soft sigh.
Figures. I knew people would say things like that. Why do I always end up being too popular?

“Anyway…” I muttered under my breath, glancing around the room.
“...where am I supposed to sit?”

The classroom was arranged like an amphitheater—each row rising higher than the one in front. My gaze swept across the seats and landed on someone near the back.

Rafael.

For a split second, our eyes met. But the moment our gazes crossed, he quickly looked away, pretending to be busy flipping through his textbook.

“Huh, acting like you don’t know me, huh?” I smirked. “Well, lucky me. At least there’s someone familiar here.”

I walked toward his seat, feeling every pair of eyes tracking my every step like bullets.

“Hey, Rafael-san. Looks like we’re in the same class, huh?”
I grinned. “Why didn’t you tell me sooner? Mind if I sit here?”

His face was a mix of panic and resignation.
“P-Please… be my guest, Avrora-sama.”

From the look on his face, I could practically read his mind.

> “Welp, I’m dead. Every guy in class is going to kill me after this.”

I stifled a laugh.
“Thanks, Rafael-san,” I said, taking a seat beside him.

And sure enough—every guy in the classroom turned to glare at Rafael.
Their eyes burned with jealousy, like lions ready to maul the prey who dared touch their lioness.

“Oh no…” I muttered, tapping my forehead.
“When he said ‘be my guest,’ he probably meant ‘please don’t talk to me or I’ll die.’ Great. Now I’ve made him a target.”

Right then, noise erupted outside the window.
Someone was being beaten up in the courtyard.

“...Don’t tell me it’s that guy who tried to hit on me in the hallway earlier,” I whispered.
Rest in peace, Background-kun. May your soul find peace in the afterlife.

But I didn’t have time to mourn!
If I didn’t act fast, Rafael might be next.

I stood up confidently and faced the entire class.

“Listen up, everyone!” I said loudly.
“My name is Avrora, Princess of the Asgard Kingdom! Starting today, I’ll be joining this class!”

The room went dead silent.
Then I continued firmly,

“And the man sitting beside me is my attendant. So please, don’t get the wrong idea.”

The atmosphere instantly shifted.

> “Ohhh, so that’s how it is!”
“No wonder she’s sitting with him—he’s just her servant.”
“Phew, thought we had a new rival.”

Rafael lowered his head, but a relieved smile crept onto his lips.

> “Thank goodness… they finally understand. As expected of Avrora-sama—so kind as always.”

Hey, Rafael-kun, don’t say that!
If I were that kind, I wouldn’t have let that poor background guy get pummeled earlier!

A few minutes later, the teacher entered the room, and everyone scurried back to their seats.
He formally introduced me as the new student, and class began.
