The Day Before Arrival

One day before Alden and his comrades came to Earth...

After hearing news that the Eastern Empire was preparing to attack the Kingdom of Valded, Alden, Zen, and Liza moved quickly. They sped off in a magic carriage headed for Valded with one goal in mind: to find Avrora.

However, once they arrived, the one they sought was nowhere to be found. Azazil, who greeted them, brought unexpected news.

"Avrora went to Earth. It’s been two days, and she hasn’t returned," he said gravely.

Alden clenched his teeth. “Two days? Didn’t she say she’d be gone for just a short while?”

Their faces all turned tense. Anxiety filled the air like a thick fog suffocating their chests.

“Could something have happened to her?” Liza whispered, eyes lowered.

Alden balled his fists. “Then… we’ll go after her!”

It was a bold plan—to infiltrate the Kingdom of Alkadia, the only place housing time machine technology.

Zen, Cleve, Liza, and Leon agreed without hesitation. That very night, they flew toward Alkadia, guided by Valac atop a massive dragon.

Upon arrival, they swiftly took down the guards, disguised themselves in their uniforms, and snuck into a secret underground facility.

The laboratory was quiet as night fell. With precise skill, they located the time machine. Zen, long known as a genius in technology, took control.

“Get ready. We’re leaving.”

With a flash of light, their bodies vanished from that dimension.

◇ ◆ ◇

They arrived on Earth just as Avrora was on the brink of danger. Yuki, Yui, and Kanon were desperately trying to save her.

Alden and his team’s arrival startled the guards. In an instant, battle erupted.

Cleve and Leon spotted Yui and Kanon in peril and charged forward to help.

“Yui! Kanon! Get back!”

The Starator troops' devices were destroyed mercilessly. After a brief fight, Yui brought urgent news.

“Avrora… she’s still being held. Yuki is trying to save her alone!”

Without delay, they rushed in. Splitting up, they searched each corridor, breaths tight with the pressure of dwindling time.

And finally—Alden found them.

Avrora, wounded. Yuki, cornered. Without hesitation, Alden struck the ground and raised a massive wall of stone to shield them.

“Avrora!” he called out, running to her.

“Alden…?” I whispered weakly.

Without replying, Alden gently lifted me into his arms and ran.

This… is kind of embarrassing...

“How did you get here?” I asked, clinging to his neck.

While running, Alden explained everything—the rescue mission, the infiltration of Alkadia, and how they defied time to bring me back.

Back at my old house, Mom opened the door wide-eyed.

“Avrora!? Oh my God, look at you! What happened?!”

Yuki quickly explained everything.

Without another word, Mom pulled me inside and began tending to my wounds.
