Flames That Burn the Sky

Today, I wandered around the city to observe the progress of my kingdom.

This world has changed drastically since the first time I came here. I still remember it vividly—back then, this kingdom was a terrifying place. The people lived in suffering, and their civilization was far from acceptable. They resembled lost beasts, surviving without hope.

But now, everything is different.

Monsters and humans live side by side. It was once thought impossible, but now they share space and even trust one another. Of course, it wasn’t easy—there were many obstacles along the way. But thanks to the tireless support of my friends and my own resolve, I was able to turn that impossible dream into reality.

This kingdom, once underdeveloped and backward, has become the most advanced kingdom in the world. We even formed a mighty empire: The Acrion Empire. And I—Avrora—am the empress who oversees all the kingdoms within Acrion. Anyone who dares to touch any part of my domain… will answer to me directly.

Today, I strolled leisurely with Rose. Both of us wore matching elegant black gowns.

Many of the citizens glanced at me curiously. Understandable—my form is a bit different now. But they weren’t shocked. They’ve known for some time that I can evolve.

Rose walked beside me, holding an umbrella above my head.

“Avrora-sama, where shall we go next?”

“Let’s head back. I’m tired. Oh—Rose! Has Leon returned yet? It’s been three days since he left for affairs in the Kingdom of Neverland.”

“Prince Leon hasn’t returned yet, Avrora-sama. Eh? Why? Do you miss him?” Rose teased, smirking.

I froze. My face flushed with heat.

“N-no way! D-don’t be ridiculous! I’m not missing him or anything!”

“Hehehe~ But your face is turning red, Avrora-sama~ Are you embarrassed?” she teased again with a playful grin.

“N-no! Let’s just go home already, Rose!”

Ugh, that Rose… always getting under my skin. But… why did I feel so flustered just now?

Elsewhere — The Descent of the God

The god Valtherion had arrived in this world.

He traveled from land to land, searching for Avrora’s presence. But strangely—he couldn’t sense her at all.

“This makes no sense… I should be able to detect every lifeform in this world. Why can’t I sense her? Just what is she…?”

With no leads, Valtherion disguised himself as an ordinary human to gather information. His goal: to find the one who killed Minerva, one of the gods of this world.

Meanwhile, Prince Leon arrived at the Kingdom of Valdead in a royal carriage. He dismounted and rode on horseback toward the palace. Along the way, he encountered Valtherion in disguise, posing as a wandering traveler.

Valtherion raised a hand, signaling Leon to stop.

“Pardon me, may I trouble you for a moment?”

Leon pulled the reins and dismounted. “Who are you? Why are you stopping me?”

“I’m just a traveler. I’d like to ask you something.”

Leon narrowed his eyes in suspicion. “About what?”
