Secret Operation: Get My Game Back
The next morning, I woke up with messy hair and a life energy of minus fifty.
Honestly, I wasn’t sure which hurt more—losing my game, or losing my dignity after being caught last night.
When I went down to the dining room, the atmosphere was like a battlefield after a storm.
Maria—my mother, the so-called goddess of justice, or maybe the goddess of tyranny—sat at the end of the table with a gentle smile that was scarier than a dragon’s glare.
Meanwhile, my brother Michael sat beside me, pale as if he had just returned from the spirit realm.
“Good morning, my children,” Mother greeted us in a voice that was too sweet.
And as always, the sweeter her tone, the greater the disaster ahead.
“Good morning, Mother,” we both replied stiffly, like soldiers awaiting execution.
Maria slowly sipped her tea, then smiled a smile that even angels might fear.
“So… how did last night’s rescue mission go?”
Michael immediately lowered his head. “A total failure, Your Majesty.”
“And the result?”
“Avrora got caught red-handed with me.”
I glared at him. “You traitor!”
“I was being honest to lessen the punishment!” he shot back.
“Useless honesty!”
Mother clapped her hands gently. “All right, final decision. Starting today, all your gaming devices will be locked in the basement for… three months.”
“THREE MONTHS!?”
Our scream echoed through the roof.
Even Father, sitting at the far end of the table, dropped his newspaper.
“Maria… isn’t that a bit harsh?” Father asked carefully.
Mother just smiled sweetly. “Discipline is the firmest form of love.”
I whispered to Michael, “That sounded like the last words of a final boss before exploding.”
Michael nodded weakly. “And we’re the ones caught in the cutscene.”

Afternoon at Starlaxy Academy
“Avrora-chan, your face looks… like someone who just lost half her soul,” said my classmate Frea with concern as we walked toward Starlaxy Academy’s gate.
“Because I did,” I replied flatly. “My soul is sealed in the basement along with my PC.”
Frea stifled a laugh. “You really are a child of the gods cursed by household law.”
I sighed quietly. “Hahh.”
Frea grinned. “At least there’s something fun today! We’re learning how to summon familiars!”
I stopped. “Oh, right… I almost forgot about that.”
For the first time since my punishment, I felt a spark of excitement.
By the time we arrived at the grand hall, it was already bustling. Hundreds of students sat in circles, glowing magical symbols etched into the floor.
In front stood an elderly instructor wearing a long purple robe and holding a crystal staff that reflected soft light.
“Good morning, young gods-to-be!” he announced proudly.
“This morning, you’ll summon your first familiar! A creature that will become both your partner and the manifestation of your spiritual power!”
The hall filled with cheers of excitement.
Everyone seemed thrilled—except me, who was half-alive without caffeine and gaming.
The instructor continued, “For your first summoning, don’t push too hard. You’ll usually get a Golem Familiar, a basic form made of earth or stone. Don’t be disappointed—all great gods start with golems!”
