The Rise of the Southern Demon King

After waiting for so long, I finally stepped forward and opened a dimensional portal. Without hesitation, I walked into it.

On the other side, the alliance army led by Prince Kaya halted as a portal suddenly tore open before them. From the blinding light, my figure slowly emerged.

“Avrora...?” one of the soldiers whispered.

All eyes widened. Even Liza, standing in the front lines, couldn't hide her shock.

Prince Kaya sneered. “So you're Avrora... The new Demon Lord everyone’s been talking about? But why are you alone? Where’s your army? Don’t tell me… they’re all dead? How pathetic.”

I simply smiled, calm.

“An army?” I scoffed. “I don’t need one. I alone am enough to wipe all of you out. Come forth, Rhino Cinerius. Death Grimfield.”

A monstrous roar echoed as my two Familiars emerged from the shadows.

“Graaaargh!”

Prince Kaya's expression turned grim. Why is she summoning those troublesome creatures? he muttered to himself.

“Avrora!” Liza suddenly shouted. “Why are you working with the demons? Stop this madness and come back!”

I turned to her. “Ah, Liza? You’d best step aside for now.”

With a flick of my hand, I opened a portal beneath her feet. In an instant, her body vanished—teleported.

Elsewhere, Alden—locked in battle with Leon—was stunned to see Liza fall from the sky through a portal.

“Liza!? What happened!?”

“I saw Avrora,” she panted. “She sent me here…”

Alden clenched his fists. “Tch... what is she planning?”

Meanwhile, Prince Kaya, realizing his sister had vanished, could no longer hold back his rage.

“What did you do to my sister!? Bring her back, damn you!”

So he’s Liza’s brother, huh... If I kill him, will she hate me? I wondered.

Prince Kaya raised his hand, commanding his army to attack. I gave my Familiars a subtle signal.

Death Grimfield swung his scythe—dozens of enemy soldiers dropped in an instant.

Time to have some fun.

I shot into the sky, slicing through them one by one with my scythe. Bodies flew, blood poured. None could stop me.

“Damn demon!” Kaya roared, launching a barrage of flying swords at me.

I deflected them all effortlessly with my scythe. Kaya gritted his teeth in frustration.

“Tch! Monster!”

I let out a quiet laugh. “You’re boring. I won’t kill you yet. I want you to witness hell first.”

“Oi, Ai-chan,” I called to the system in my head. “How many have I killed?”

“Only 100 so far. You still need 99,900 more for evolution. But there are plenty more troops at their main base. Might as well clean them up too.”

“Perfect. You already know what I’m thinking?”

“Of course. You’re terrifying, as always.”

I opened a new portal—straight to their headquarters.
