I could ask Mom for some money...

With newfound determination, I started walking around, hoping to find a job opening.

Before long, my eyes caught a notice posted in front of a café.

The café was hiring waitstaff.

I quickly stepped inside. The waitresses greeted me with cheerful smiles.

“Welcome!”

As I looked at the maid-style waitresses, a memory suddenly flashed through my mind.

“Rose… She suddenly came to mind.”

I walked up to one of the waitresses.

“Excuse me… I saw the job posting outside. Is it true this café is hiring? If possible, I’d like to apply for the job.”

The waitress smiled warmly.

“Of course, I’ll take you to our manager. He’ll be the one to decide.”

I nodded and followed her to the manager’s office. After asking me to wait for a moment, she stepped inside.

Shortly after, she returned.

“You may go in. The manager is ready to meet you.”

“Thank you very much,” I replied with a polite smile.

I opened the door and saw a middle-aged man with blonde hair sitting behind the desk. He looked to be in his 40s.

“Excuse me. My name is Avrora. I’d like to apply for a part-time job here, if that’s alright.”

The man stood up and looked me up and down.

Immediately, I felt uneasy.

(Why is he looking at me like that? Don’t tell me… he’s a pervert?)

Then, he smiled broadly.

“You’re absolutely adorable, miss. Of course you can work here. I’m sure our customers will love seeing your face.”

I couldn’t hide my relief and happiness.

“Thank you so much, sir!”

But deep inside, I murmured:

(Is there even a Demon King who works part-time? Probably just me…)

The manager handed me a maid uniform.

“Put this on and come back. I’d like to see how you look in it.”

“Alright, sir.”

After changing, I returned to his office.

“I’m ready, sir.”

His gaze hadn’t changed.

“You’re so cute, Avrora-chan. Try striking a pose.”

“B-But, sir…”

“Don’t worry, just for a second. After that, you can start working.”
