Declaration of War and the Beginning of the Journey

Today, I held a grand assembly at the Valdead Palace. All representatives from the five great kingdoms of the Acrion Empire had been formally invited. Alden, Zen, and Liza were also present in the meeting hall. Additionally, the Demon Kings of the Eastern and Northern regions had come to join us.

In the vast and majestic conference room, everyone was already seated and waiting. I entered the room accompanied by Leon—who now looked completely different from before.

As we stepped in, every eye turned to Leon. Alden, Zen, and Liza stood up instinctively, shocked by his new appearance.

“What happened to Leon, Avrora?” Alden asked, his tone serious.

I offered a sheepish smile and shrugged. “Ahahaha... It’s a long story. I’ll explain later, okay?”

The meeting officially began. I recounted everything that had happened—the recent incidents, my decision to confront the gods, and my plan to travel across the universe to gather strength.

Gasps and murmurs filled the room.

Viad, the Eastern Demon King, laughed heartily. “Hahahaha… My daughter, you’re always causing a scene! But that’s just who you are!”

King Aldric turned sharply toward him. “What do you mean ‘your daughter’? Avrora is my daughter!”

The tension between the two was palpable, like they were on the verge of starting a fight.

I sighed and glared at Viad. “If you say anything weird again, I’ll cut your head off.”

Viad awkwardly scratched his head and chuckled. “Ahahaha… Alright, alright.”

I turned to Aldric and explained, “Don’t worry, Father. He just sees me as an adopted daughter.”

Seriously… Why are they bickering at a time like this? This is embarrassing.

Then King Alexander—Alden’s father—stood up. In a calm tone, he said, “Avrora-sama, please forgive my frankness. I understand the situation you’re in, but declaring war against the gods directly opposes the beliefs of our kingdom, which worships them.”

Other kingdoms nodded in agreement, including my own father, King Aldric. I responded firmly.

“I expected as much. That’s why I called you all here—not to seek your assistance, but to clarify my stance. I will go to war with the gods. I hope you won’t oppose my decision.”

In the end, they all consented—so long as they weren’t directly involved. The Demon Kings, however, seemed quite enthusiastic.

“Hahaha! I’ve been waiting for a war like this!” Chimeries exclaimed with a grin.

“This might prove interesting,” added Leviathan, the Northern Demon King.

Alden stood up, eyes burning with resolve. “Avrora! Even if our beliefs differ, I’ll fight by your side as a friend. I’ve already gained my father’s permission.”

“I’m going too!” Zen declared.

“Me too! Friends always stick together,” Liza added.

My eyes widened. “You guys… thank you.”

After the meeting, I gathered my subordinates and made an important announcement.

“Tomorrow morning, I will leave for an extended period. I’ll travel across the universe to find power.”

The room fell silent in surprise.

“Avrora-sama! Please take me with you!” Rose pleaded.

“Master, I’m coming too!” said Cleve, determination in his voice.

I shook my head. “Not this time. I’ll be going with Leon alone. The kingdom still needs you in case anything happens.”

They finally nodded in understanding.

“Understood, Avrora-sama.”

I looked to my two most trusted aides. “Azazil, Arez! While I’m gone, you’ll be responsible for the kingdom. Divide the duties as needed.”

“Yes, Avrora-sama!” they answered in unison.

That night, Leon came to visit me in my room.

“Avrora, it’s rare for you to ask me to come along.”

“Are you not happy I invited you, Onii-sama?” I smiled mischievously.

“I am happy. But there’s definitely a reason, isn’t there?”

I just smiled, which only made him more suspicious.

“You’re planning something, aren’t you?”

“Nope~ Not at all. It’s just… tomorrow, we’re heading to Lagarde, the universe closest to Arandelle.”

“I see. Well then, I’ll head back to my room. See you tomorrow.”

“Good night, Onii-sama.”

The next morning, everyone had gathered in the palace courtyard. A large portal had opened before us.

“I’m off!” I shouted.

“Safe travels, Avrora-sama! Take care!” everyone replied in unison.

The portal closed behind us.

We arrived in Lagarde—a world currently engulfed in a war between a Hero and the Demon King.

“Finally, we’ve arrived…” I said, exhaling.

“This world looks pretty similar to Arandelle,” Leon remarked.

“Visually, yes. But the civilization and inhabitants are different.”

“So, what’s the plan?”

“We need to meet this world’s Demon King and negotiate. And the one doing the talking… is you, Onii-sama.”

“Ehhh!? Why me?!”

I looked away casually. “I’m always the one giving speeches back in our world. It’s exhausting. This time, you’ll act as the leader. I’ll be your ‘support’. Hehehe~”

Leon facepalmed. “I knew it. You did have an ulterior motive.”

“Ehehe~ Don’t worry. I’ll guide and protect you. Let’s do our best, Onii-sama~”

“Hahhh… Fine. Let’s do this, little sister.”

I opened a portal heading west—toward the Demon King’s castle.

We arrived right in front of the massive gate.

“This place is pretty big,” Leon muttered.

“Yeah. But unlike my residence, it has a creepy vibe…”

Suddenly, two guards appeared and blocked our path.

“Who are you!? Spies?!”

Leon stepped forward. “We’re just here to meet the Demon King. We mean no harm.”

“Lies! Leave now or—!”

Before they could finish, they rushed in to attack. But I moved faster.

Swosh!

I placed my blade at one guard’s throat and grabbed the other by the collar. My eyes burned with fury.

“If you dare lay a filthy hand on my brother again… you’ll both die.”

The two guards froze in place, trembling and swallowing hard.
