Today, I made up my mind—I would rescue Liza, the girl who had long been my dearest friend, now imprisoned in the Kingdom of Zeldead.

Inside the castle’s grand hall, all of the elite forces had gathered. Alden and Zen were also present for this brief but crucial meeting. With firm steps, I stood before them.

“Listen up, everyone,” I declared. “I’m heading to Zeldead to bring Liza back.”

My gaze shifted to three individuals. “Rose, Cleve, Leon—you’re coming with me.”

Azazil, who stood in the back row, suddenly spoke up, his voice anxious. “Avrora-sama! I’ll go with you as well!”

I shook my head resolutely. “No, Azazil. I’m leaving the kingdom in your hands. You’re the only one I trust to guard it while I’m away.”

His expression stiffened with tension, but he soon bowed his head and responded, “…Understood, Avrora-sama.”

Viad, my father, slowly rose from his seat. “My daughter, I’ll come with you.”

I looked at him sharply, puzzled. “That’s unusual. Don’t you normally just laze around?”

He chuckled lightly. “Hehehe… Sorry. I’m just worried about my sweet daughter.”

“Ehhhh… I see.” I turned my head away with a sigh. “Fine. Come along.”

Alden stepped forward. “I want to come too, Avrora. I can’t sit back while Liza is in danger.”

Zen nodded. “Me too. Let’s finish this together.”

I took a deep breath. “Very well. Then let’s depart.”

Without wasting another second, I opened a portal to the Kingdom of Zeldead. In a flash, we stepped into the light.

As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by Ryugo, commander of Zeldead. He grinned smugly, arms folded across his chest.

“So you’ve finally arrived,” he said.

“I’m not here to play games, Ryugo. Where’s Liza? Release her, now!”

He tilted his head. “No need to rush. I’m only here to meet one person. Where is the Demon King Avrora?”

I blinked in surprise. Huh? He doesn’t know?

“I’m Avrora,” I replied firmly. “Now state your demand and release Liza.”

Ryugo looked stunned. “You? The Demon King? Hah! Don’t joke around. There’s no way a pretty girl like you—”

Before he could finish, Cleve drew his sword in fury.

“Watch your tongue, scum!” he roared. “How dare you speak like that in front of Avrora-sama?!”

“Cleve, that’s enough,” I ordered.

“…Yes, Avrora-sama.”

Turning back to Ryugo, I said, “Believe it or not, I don’t care. What matters now is Liza. Release her.”

Ryugo chuckled. “Very well then.”

With a snap of his fingers, a large barrier appeared, trapping only him and me inside.

“The rest of your team won’t be able to interfere,” he said. “Now let’s settle this one-on-one!”

“If that’s how you want it…” I took a deep breath and readied myself. “Let’s see who dies first.”
