The Rise of the Demon King's Wrath
This morning, everything was ready. Thousands of troops gathered on the vast, green plains, radiating a blazing spirit of war. I stood before them as the Demon King of the South. Today, we would reclaim the Eastern Demon Kingdom from the hands of the Empire.
Without wasting any time, I activated the mass teleportation spell. A magical light enveloped the entire army, and in an instant, we appeared near the enemy’s border.
“Charge!!” I shouted.
My troops immediately stormed the Eastern Demon Territory, which had already been seized by the Empire. I hovered in the sky, shrouded in a thick black aura that made the earth below tremble.
Leviathan, flying beside me, gaped in astonishment. “Avrora… is this your true power?”
I grinned. “It is. Got a problem with that?”
“No, not at all... It's just that... your power is overwhelming. If you'd fought like this during our duel, I would’ve surely lost. But next time, I want to challenge you again.”
“Fine. But you haven’t used your true power either, have you?”
“Haha! Alright then… it's time for me to transform!”
A cold aura wrapped around Leviathan as his body morphed into a giant ice dragon. On the other side, Chimeries raised his hand high, transforming into a winged half-demon wreathed in black flames that devoured the air.
“Let’s wipe them all out!” Chimeries roared.
As our army began its invasion, General Shin of the Empire mobilized all his forces. Sword units, riflemen, tanks, even fighter jets were deployed to resist the attack.
Leon, wielding his massive sword, cleaved through tanks like brittle twigs. In the sky, jets unleashed a brutal barrage of missiles.
But before the missiles could reach the ground, Rose leapt high and swung her scythe—every missile exploded midair.
“Nice one, Rose!” I shouted, slicing through an approaching fighter squadron with a single swing of my own scythe. Explosions echoed across the sky.
Suddenly, three elite Imperial soldiers appeared on the battlefield and began attacking my troops. And to my shock—Yuki appeared before me.
“Yuki…” I murmured, stunned.
She stared at me in disbelief, her eyes brimming with tears.
“Big Brother...? This… isn’t real, is it?”
“Yuki, why are you in this world? And why did you join the Eastern Empire?!”
Tears streamed down her cheeks. “I had only one goal… I just wanted to see you again…”
My face hardened. “Then listen to me. Leave the Empire. They’re evil, Yuki. They’re invaders!”
She fell silent, her expression filled with confusion and despair.
But then, a voice came through her earpiece—it was General Shin.
“Yuki, kill him. Now.”
Her body trembled.
“No… I don’t want to do this anymore…”
“What’s happening to you?!” I shouted, panicked. “Yuki! Don’t be afraid! Come with me!”
Back at the Empire’s headquarters, Shin gave a cold order.
“Activate the stigma.”
A device on Yuki’s body activated. She screamed, clutching her head.
“AAAHHHH!!”
I rushed toward her. “Yuki! What’s happening to you?!”
“I… I can’t control myself… Run, Brother! Please!”
“I won’t! I’m going to save you!”
Ai-chan’s voice echoed in my mind.
“Avrora, Yuki is being controlled by a device embedded in her body. She’s trying to fight it to stay conscious… but if this keeps up, it could kill her!”
“Tch! Damn it!”
I looked at Yuki with determination. “Yuki! Trust your brother! Sleep now. I’ll take care of the rest.”
She smiled weakly. “Okay, Brother… I believe in you.”
But as her consciousness faded, her body transformed—her skin turned black, her eyes glowing blood-red. She was fully controlled.
“Yuki…?” I took a step back.
She dashed toward me, firing her weapon mercilessly. I dodged, but my thoughts were scattered.
“Tch! At this rate, I can’t save her!”
Suddenly, Yuki appeared right in front of me, tackled me to the ground, and pointed her gun at my face.
“Damn it!” I thought. “If I fight her, she’ll get hurt. What should I do?!”
But just as she was about to pull the trigger, her hand trembled… and stopped.
“Yuki?! Are you back?!”
She smiled, tears falling.
“I… I could never hurt you… I’m sorry for being a burden…”
“Don’t do this! Go back to sleep! Do you want to die, Yuki?!”
“I… I’ve always loved you. Goodbye, Brother…”
Yuki screamed. Her body convulsed, and then—BZTT!!—the device in her body short-circuited. A surge of voltage shocked her brain.
She collapsed… unmoving.
Shin smirked in his command center. “I warned you not to resist. That’s the price.”
“YUKIIIIII!!!”
I held her tightly, tears streaming down my face. My chest felt like it was being crushed. Something inside me snapped.
A dark aura erupted from my body. The air grew heavy. The sky turned crimson. Lightning raged wildly.
I soared into the sky, holding Yuki in my arms. My face now showed no emotion.
Leviathan and Chimeries were frozen in place.
“That power… it’s terrifying… Could this be Avrora’s true form?” they murmured.
All my allies and soldiers could feel it—my emotions. Grief, fury, vengeance.
“Master… what happened to you…?” Cleve whispered, staring at the sky.
Enemy jets descended once more, aiming to strike me. I looked at them with blank eyes.
“Begone.”
With that single word, all the jets exploded into ash.
This war… had just turned into a massacre.
To be continued…
