The Demon King’s Awakening — Avrora’s Wrath
Upon seeing my new form, the alliance army froze in place. Fear washed over their faces, and the once-proud soldiers now trembled, paralyzed by dread.
At last, the Heroes gave the order to retreat.
But with a mere raise of my hand, I unleashed Gravity Force. An immense pressure slammed down upon them, crushing their wills. One by one, they collapsed to the ground, unable to move.
A cruel smile curled on my lips.
“Where do you think you’re going? You dared to attack my kingdom and expect mercy? Never.”
In a flash, I soared toward Prince Chaiden, seized him by the torso, and lifted him high into the air.
From the distance, Alden's eyes widened in horror as he saw his brother dangling helplessly.
“Avrora! What are you doing?! Let him go!” he shouted.
Chaiden began to panic. His face turned deathly pale.
“Put me down, you damn demon!”
I stared at him with eyes full of contempt.
“What’s wrong? You’re trembling. After all the chaos you caused… I think I deserve a drink. How about your blood?”
He shivered uncontrollably. “No—please! Don’t kill me!”
With a flick of my scythe, I slashed his cheek. Fresh blood dripped down, staining the blade. I licked it with disdain.
“Disgusting. Your blood tastes foul. You’re better off dead.”
“Alden!! Help me!! She’s your friend, isn’t she?! Say something!”
“Avrora, stop!!” Alden shouted in desperation.
But I said nothing. With one swift swing, I severed Chaiden’s head from his body.
“NOOO!!”
His corpse crashed to the ground before Alden’s eyes. Blood pooled around him. Alden fell to his knees, staring at his brother’s lifeless form.
“This... can’t be… Nii-sama…”
His wail pierced the battlefield’s silence.
“Why, Avrora…? Why have you become so cruel?!”
I gazed at him coldly. “Noisy.”
Without warning, I grabbed Alden and lifted him into the air with one hand.
“I won’t forgive anyone who dares attack my kingdom. I will destroy them all—down to the very roots.”
Suddenly, the scent of his blood reached my nose. I froze.
“Mmm… smells delicious.”
I leaned in and licked his neck. My mind was slowly being consumed by a wild, primal thirst.
“A-Avrora… are you going to kill me too?”
My fangs grazed his skin—just a moment more and I would bite down.
“AVRORA!!”
Liza’s voice rang out from afar.
“He’s your friend! Get a hold of yourself!”
I turned to her. Her words reached a part of me I thought was long gone. What was happening to me? I had never felt this level of vampiric desire before.
Ai-chan… what’s going on? I asked silently.
«You’re the Demon King now. Your vampiric lust will grow stronger and harder to control.»
Then… how do I satisfy it?
«Drink blood—until your thirst is fully quenched.»
Huh... You seem more talkative than usual.
«Of course. I am now the King of Wisdom. I hold all knowledge of this world—and your old world, Earth. I can analyze, predict the near future, accelerate your thought process millions of times, and even help you create objects, phenomena, and alchemy. You also now have access to all the skills of your subordinates through your link with them.»
“Whoa… you’ve really powered up, Ai-chan!”
But I knew it. If I didn’t control this thirst, Alden would die by my hand.
“…Alden. Liza. Zen. You all need to leave—now.”
I opened a dimensional portal and sent them back to the Academy.
The moment they arrived, Alden collapsed and wept. He couldn’t accept that his brother had died. Liza and Zen stood silently, shock frozen on their faces.
Meanwhile—back on the battlefield…
I launched myself toward Prince Grissham and plunged my scythe into his gut without hesitation.
“GAAAAHHH!!”
Blood burst out. I pulled the scythe free and licked the blade once more.
“Your blood’s just as bad.”
Grissham coughed, trying to speak through the pain.
“W-What… do you want…?”
“Die.”
Without another word, I spun the scythe and beheaded him in a single stroke.
From a distance, Leon watched it all unfold. He stood frozen, eyes wide in disbelief. The innocent girl he once knew… had become a merciless executioner.
I turned toward Prince Kaya.
“Now it’s your turn.”
He was speechless, trembling as my merciless gaze pierced through him.
“Your blood must be awful too. Better if you just die.”
I raised my scythe high.
“Die.”
Before I could strike him down, the remaining enemy soldiers lost all hope. Panic overtook them.
“Infinite Sword Fall.”
From the heavens, swords rained down endlessly. Thousands of blades fell upon the battlefield, cutting down the rest of the enemy forces.
The war was over.
“Let’s go home. It’s time to celebrate our victory.”
We returned to the Kingdom of Valdead.
Father, Mother, and Alice came to greet us.
When they saw my new form, Father gasped.
“Eh? Avrora? Is that really you? You… look so different…”
“Yeah! And your hair… it’s so long!” Mother added, confused.
I gave them a wry smile.
“Well… I evolved again. That’s why I look like this now.”
But Alice stood frozen. She didn’t run to me like she usually did.
“Alice-chan?” I called softly. “Come here, it’s your Onee-chan.”
Instead, she clung tightly to Mother Livy.
“Mom… who is she? Where’s Onee-chan?”
My heart sank.
“Alice-chan,” Livy said gently, “that really is your Onee-chan. She may look different… but it’s still her.”
Alice stared at me for a long time, eyes wide.
Finally, she smiled—and ran into my arms.
“ONEE-CHAN!! Your hair got so long!”
I patted her head gently. “Yeah… now we match, don’t we?”
“Hehe… yeah! I love you, Onee-chan.”
I held her close, trying to calm the storm inside me.
