The Wrath of the Goddess – An Inevitable Battle

Upon returning to this world, a strange sensation swept through my chest. The atmosphere felt different. The sky, usually bright and clear, had turned grey, and the air was filled with an invisible pressure.

> “What is this… magical pressure? No, this isn’t normal magic… This power is terrifying—so much that my body is trembling. I’ve never felt anything like this before.”

I stopped in my tracks, my eyes scanning the surroundings.

Ai-chan, who was always smiling and cheerful, now wore a serious expression. “Avrora, you feel it too, don’t you?”

I nodded. “Yeah. This power… it’s overwhelming. Do you know who it belongs to?”

“Not yet… but I’m certain—it’s not from any ordinary being. We have to get outside. Now!”

Without hesitation, my friends and I rushed toward Valdead. And as we arrived, what I saw took my breath away.

In the darkened sky floated a silver-haired girl, her body surrounded by a blazing aura. In her hand, she held a massive sphere of energy, rotating slowly—large enough to obliterate an entire planet.

“A-Avrora…!” Ai-chan cried, her voice shaking. “There’s no mistake… That’s the goddess—Minerva!”

My eyes widened. “What?! Are you sure?!”

“She’s the only one with this kind of power… and she clearly doesn’t come in peace.”

I clenched my teeth. “Don’t tell me… she’s planning to destroy the world?”

“I don’t know for sure… but we can’t just stand by and watch!”

Without hesitation, I activated my power. A thick black aura engulfed my body, my eyes glowing blood-red. My magic wings unfurled behind me, and my obsidian scythe emerged from the shadows.

I soared into the sky and shouted, “Wait!!”

Minerva slowly turned to me, looking down as if I were nothing more than an insect.

“Oh… so you’re the vampire who defies fate,” she said with a mocking smile.

“I need answers! Are you really a goddess? And are you seriously trying to destroy this world?!”

“That’s right,” she replied calmly.

“Why…? Why would you want to do something like that?!”

Her smile curled into a cruel smirk.

“Why, you ask? Maybe… because I’m sick of it. This world has advanced too far. It’s filthy. Arrogant. A civilization like this doesn’t deserve to exist. I want to reset everything—create a new world without technology, without greedy humans.”

My eyes narrowed. “So you’re afraid… afraid that humanity will grow too powerful and one day rise against the gods—against you.”

Minerva’s eyes flashed with fury. “How dare you say that to me! I gave you a chance, Avrora. Didn’t you once want to destroy this world too? Why the change of heart?”

“I did… But I realized something. This world still has hope. There are still innocent lives that want nothing more than to live in peace. I won’t let you destroy that!”

Minerva raised one hand, and the energy sphere vanished in an instant. Her gaze sharpened like a blade.

“Then prove your words aren’t just empty courage. Defeat me… and I’ll spare this world.”
