Council and Conquest
As I gazed upon the rows of armored tanks, the roaring fighter jets slicing through the crimson sky, and columns of fully armed Japanese soldiers marching across this foreign land, only one conclusion formed in my mind: this had to be connected to the black hole that appeared in Tokyo all those years ago.
That gate… it must lead directly to Earth.
An uneasy chill crept over me.
Are they here to conquer this world…? To wage war across dimensions…?
I let out a long sigh.
“Haah... how troublesome…”Today, I had summoned the rulers of neighboring nations to an emergency council. Every monarch I had invited was now seated in the grand hall, awaiting my words.
Rather than overwhelm them with theories or technical jargon, I spoke plainly.
"In the eastern lands, a powerful new empire has risen. It wields terrifying weapons—far beyond anything we've seen before."The reaction was immediate—shock, disbelief, fear.
I urged them all to raise their defenses and remain alert. I would also deploy magical barriers around every allied kingdom as a safeguard. An attack could come from the skies at any moment.
Once the meeting was over, three of my closest allies—Alden, Zen, and Liza—approached me in my private chamber.
“Avrora, what did you really mean back there?” Alden asked with a serious tone. Zen and Liza stood beside him, their faces filled with concern.
I exhaled quietly and answered.
“The truth is… I’ve seen it myself. Japan has crossed into our world. They’ve brought troops, weapons, and technology unlike anything we possess.”
Their eyes widened.
“W-What? That’s impossible!” Alden said sharply.
Zen stroked his chin. “This is hard to believe…”
“But how did they get here?” Liza asked, narrowing her eyes.
“I don’t know the exact method yet,” I replied. “But I’m certain it’s related to the black hole that appeared in Tokyo. Even now, it hasn’t closed.”
Their expressions shifted from confusion to disbelief.
“Wait—how do you know all this about the black hole?” Alden asked, suspicious.
“Uhh... well... actually,” I scratched the back of my head, “I’ve been to Japan. I used my space-time magic.”
The room fell silent for a moment—before exploding into gasps.
“WHAT?!” Alden shouted. “You can do that?! Why didn’t you take me with you?!”
“I wanted to go too!” Zen added eagerly.
Liza stepped forward with a piercing glare. “Avrora-chan… why didn’t you invite me?”
A cold sweat trickled down my spine.
“Ahaha… I’m sorry! It’s not as easy as you think! Crossing worlds goes against the laws of this realm, and it drains all my magical energy. It takes a whole month just to recover enough power to return!”
“Hmph!” Liza pouted, puffing out her cheeks.
“I see…” Zen muttered, lowering his head.
Alden, ever focused, pressed on. “So, what did you do while you were there?”
