The Awakening of the Dark God
Upon arriving at the Kingdom of Alkadia, Shin and the Starator forces stood frozen in shock. The once-glorious kingdom had been reduced to ruins. Half the palace had collapsed, debris scattered everywhere, and the scent of fresh blood still lingered heavily in the air.
Without hesitation, Shin dashed toward the central laboratory. His eyes widened in disbelief as he found the control center, the experimental chambers, and the weapons vault all utterly destroyed. Dozens—perhaps hundreds—of corpses and wounded lay helplessly strewn across the grounds.
“No… This… this can’t be…” he whispered weakly, as if refusing to accept the grim reality before him.
Meanwhile, Charlote ran frantically through the ruins.
“Father! Where are you?!”
Julius followed close behind, trying to calm her, though panic was evident on his face too.
Elsewhere, Yui looked around, her breathing rapid. “Yuki?! Where’s Yuki?!”
Kanon shook her head quickly. “I didn’t see her either… Wasn’t she fighting alongside Charlote and Julius earlier?!”
Shin turned to them with a cold, piercing gaze. “Yuki… is dead.”
Yui covered her mouth, her legs giving out beneath her. Tears streamed uncontrollably from her eyes.
“No… That’s not true… Yuki…”
Kanon held Yui tightly. “Yui-chan…”
Their sobs filled the air with sorrow—but Shin only grinned.
“She died because of her own foolishness. She dared to defy me… and paid the price.” His eyes sharpened. “And if any of you think of defying me… you’ll meet the same fate.”
In that moment, the truth struck them like lightning. They were never friends or allies—only weapons.
Suddenly, an elderly man with white hair emerged from behind the rubble. Professor Nakamura.
Shin looked at him in surprise. “Professor…? You’re still alive?”
“Of course. When the attack began, I immediately secured the time machine and the communication devices. Everything is safe,” Nakamura replied.
Shin gave a faint smile. “Good. That means we can report back to Japan… and begin formulating a new plan. We’ll need stronger weapons to defeat that girl. Can you create them, Professor?”
The professor nodded slowly, then grinned. “I’ve already got something in mind. I’ll combine this world’s magic with our technology. We’ll also construct an underground base—no enemy will ever find it.”
Shin chuckled. “Excellent idea…”

Meanwhile, after successfully driving back the Imperial Army, the Eastern Demon Kingdom had finally returned to Chimeries’ hands. But relief was nowhere on my face.
I came home with a heavy heart—because Yuki had died.
Leon rushed to greet me. “Avrora! You’re back! What happened? Where have you been? And… who’s that child you’re carrying? Is she… dead?”
I lowered my gaze. “She’s… my sister.”
Leon was stunned. “What?! What do you mean, Avrora? I don’t understand…”
I met his eyes sharply. “I’ll explain later. Right now, I have to go to the Elf Kingdom in the west.”
Chimeries approached. “Thank you, Avrora. Because of you, I was able to reclaim my kingdom.”
I gave a slight nod. “You're welcome. But I’m sorry—I must leave.”
I opened a magical portal. “Everyone, go in! I’ll send you back.”
Once everyone had returned, I prepared to open a new portal to the western forest.
Turning to Rose, I said, “Take care of that child. I’ll be back soon.”
“Yes, Lady Avrora!”
“Master, may I come with you?” Cleve asked quickly.
“I’ll come too. You’ll need protection,” Leon added.
“Alright… let’s go.”
The three of us stepped through the portal and arrived in the western forest. Thick trees surrounded us, and a strong magical barrier pulsed through the air.
“There are so many magical barriers…” I muttered.
With a single strike, I shattered them all.
Several Elf guards emerged at once, weapons drawn.
“Who are you?! You’re not ordinary humans. Why did you break the barrier?!”
I answered bluntly. “We just want to meet your king.”
The Elves hesitated, but one finally nodded. “Very well. Follow me.”
We were led deep into Elven territory, where a man with golden-blonde hair stood regally, his gaze calm but razor-sharp.
“I am Arvel, King of the Elves. Who are you, and what is your purpose here?”
“I am Avrora, Demon King of the South. I’ve come to release Ares from his prison.”
Arvel rose from his throne. “What?! No! Leave this place at once!”
I stared him down, pressure radiating from my presence. “I refuse.”
“Are you insane?! Ares could destroy the world!”
I smirked. “If destruction is what you fear… I’m capable of the same.”
“Guards! Attack them!!” Arvel shouted in fury.
I turned to Cleve and Leon. “You two handle them. Arvel… he’s mine.”
Raising my scythe, I walked toward the Elf King.
Tree roots surged to attack me, but I sliced them apart with ease. I kept advancing.
“Still want to fight?” I asked with a grin.
Arvel stepped back, trembling. “Alright… Just don’t kill me. I’ll show you the prison. But promise me… Ares won’t destroy the world!”
“I promise.”
We made our way to a sealed cave.
“This cave has been guarded for generations. None of us have seen Ares ourselves… but legend says he is the Dark God,” Arvel explained.
He broke the seal.
Inside, in the deepest part of the cave, lay a man with black wings, partially white hair, and blank eyes that radiated immense power—sealed within a crystal.
“Haha… Finally, someone’s come. Who are you, human?”
“I’m the Demon King, Avrora. Are you Ares?”
Ares chuckled softly. “You know my name… What do you want?”
“I will release you, but in exchange, you must bring someone back to life for me.”
“Hm… But this seal was created by the Goddess Minerva. It can’t be broken!”
I reached out and touched the crystal. In an instant, cracks spread across it—and then it shattered.
Ares stared in shock.
“Who… are you really?!”
He knelt and took my hand. “Lady Avrora… please allow me to serve you!”
“Very well. From this moment, you are my left hand.”
Ares beamed. “Thank you, Lady Avrora!!”
Meanwhile, Cleve and Leon could only sigh as they watched the scene unfold.
“Looks like… we’ve got another troublesome ally…”
