The Calm Sky After Hell

The first step I took after that fierce battle ended—was to heal the world.

With my newfound power as a half-god, I raised my hand toward the sky. A golden light enveloped the shattered heavens, then swept across the land, mending the cracked earth, reviving withered trees, and blooming dead flowers. The sky turned blue once again. A gentle breeze carried the scent of peace.

I flew slowly toward my friends and comrades who had fought alongside me.

"Thank you... everyone," I said sincerely.

Smiles bloomed on their faces. Tears of joy, warm embraces, and shouts of victory echoed in the air.

But I couldn’t let myself be swept away in the joy for too long.

I ran toward the small, lifeless body lying motionless—Alice. My little sister who had willingly given her life for me.

"Alice... I will bring you back."

I chanted a soul-summoning spell and hugged her tightly. A soft light surrounded us, and then—her eyes slowly opened.

"Eh...? Who are you...?"

Her voice was weak, but full of life.

I held back my tears. "It’s me, Onee-chan... I’m so glad you’re back..."

I hugged her tightly. Alice returned the hug, sobbing. "Onee-chan!"

Our tears blended with the air of victory that now warmed the world.

But my mission was not yet over.

I stood up and looked at everyone. "I still have something I must finish."

Azazil stepped forward. "Do you wish to go to the Eastern Empire, Lady Avrora?"

I nodded. "Yes. It’s time to end everything."

"I'll go with you!"

I smiled softly. "This time... let me finish it alone. You’ve all done enough. Please, rest."

"...As you wish," Azazil replied with a respectful bow.

I opened a teleportation portal, and in an instant, I stood before the gates of the Eastern Empire.

The soldiers who tried to stop me vanished in a flash. I no longer had the luxury for mercy.

I continued forward until I reached the underground laboratory. There... I found him.

Shin, in the middle of a conversation with a professor, froze the moment I entered.

"Who are you!?" he shouted, startled.

I sneered. "Heh. You forgot about me? Have you run that far from reality, Shin?"

His eyes widened. "...That voice... it can’t be. Avrora!?"

"That's right. And today... you die."

Terror spread across his face. He tried to run, but I froze his body using dimensional magic.

"There’s nowhere left to run."

The scientists and guards who tried to protect him—I destroyed them without hesitation.

Shin began trembling violently.

"What’s wrong? Why are you shaking so badly? Weren’t you so confident back then?"

I slowly stepped toward him, my smile laced with menace. "Now it's your turn. Which part of your body should I cut off first...?"

"Stop... please! Avrora... forgive me!" he screamed.
