Because Planet Cockroach Was Destroyed
Today, Leon and I were preparing to leave Largade. A long journey awaited us, and our next destination was already clear.
But before setting off, we stopped by Asmodeus’s residence to say goodbye.Leon stood tall, his voice firm like the order of a commander.
> “I’m leaving now, Asmodeus. When the time comes, I’ll open a portal to summon you.”
Asmodeus bowed respectfully.
> “Understood, Lord Leon. May your journey be smooth.”
Without wasting another moment, I opened a swirling portal glowing with a bluish light. We stepped through… and the world on the other side greeted us with a sight most unusual.
The sky was the color of blood, covering the foreign land as though the sun had set there forever. The ground was cracked, dry, and cold, as if it had never known life.
We had barely stepped out of the portal when a hot, dusty wind slapped against my face.
Leon stood beside me, scanning the surroundings with a cautious gaze.> “Where are we, Avrora?”
> “Inseta World,” I replied softly, my eyes sweeping the silent horizon. “But… strange. There’s not a single human here.”
The silence broke when Leon pointed at something in the distance—a massive spider, its legs skittering quickly between the rocks.
> “An insect monster,” I murmured, the corner of my lips curling upward. “Looks like this really is their territory.”
But before we could take a step, a sharp chittering noise came from behind. I turned… and my body instantly tensed.
A giant cockroach, its long antennae twitching, was crawling toward us.
> “O-Onii-sama… th-that…”
Leon turned, and his expression instantly shifted.
> “Ehh?! A cockroach?!”
Without a second thought, I hid behind his back.
> “Kill it! Hurry!”
> “You’re scared?” Leon raised a brow.
> “Not scared! Disgusted! Just kill it already, you idiot!”
Leon sighed, then swung his sword. In a flash, the cockroach’s body split in two and collapsed to the ground.
I let out a relieved breath.
> “Haaah… finally.”
But then the sound came again—louder, multiplied. When I turned my head, my eyes went wide. Dozens… no, hundreds of giant cockroaches were crawling in from every direction.
> “Hiiii! Onii-sama!!”
Leon’s tone sharpened.
> “There’s too many… this will take a while.”
> “No need!” I grabbed his hand, and in an instant, we soared into the sky, piercing through the atmosphere.
From outer space, I stared down at the planet, the feeling of disgust still lodged in my throat.
> “It’s faster if we just destroy it. No humans here anyway, right?”
> “Avrora, wait—”
