You are new to UA as you came from the states over the summer with your mom due to an incident at your last school. You start your days on becoming a hero to help find your dad, over time you begin to ask.. are you really faking? are you even strong...
You were walking down the hall at UA the next day.
It was after lunch, you were about to go into your classroom, when you saw your mom down the hall talking to another classmate. You came up to them.
"Mom?" she turned to you. "What're you doing here?" Half and Half next to her.
"Oh, Hi Honey!" she smiled. "I was just passing by when I saw your friend." she nudged his arm. "Who was just about to ask you to something."
"I really don't think she-" she pushed him closer to me. "Uh," he almost knocked into you. He was really close. Other classmates walking past looked at you two. "Are you free tomorrow night?"
They whispered. "Omg, is he asking her out?"
You looked between him and your mom. "For what?"
"The ranking ceremony has a special event for legacy children of heroes-"
"Omg...." you sighed, realizing what was happening.
"It really isn't that bad-"
"I'm not going to a stupid hero event." you rolled your eyes.
"Please, baby!" your mom pleaded. "People would love to see us together-"
"Exactly..." just as you were about to walk away, Shoto grabbed your hand. You looked at it, then him.
"The food is really good." his eyes were begging you. 'Please, your mom won't leave me alone.'
You groaned. "Whatever, fine-"
"EEEEEE!!! I'm so exciteddddd." she clapped her hands and jumped up and down. She got so excited that she started speeding around between you two. When she stopped, she put her hand on Shoto's shoulder. "And Todoroki here can be your date!" his eyes widen.
"Be your what?" you turned to Bakugou and Kiri behind you, questioning looks on their faces.
"Oh, it's not-"
"You again?" your mom crossed her arms. "Don't you have class?"
Kiri spoke up. "Date to what?" he looked down to see Shoto still holding your hand.
"This stupid event-"
"Let go." Blondie commanded Shoto. You now realized he was still holding your hand. Shoto raised a brow.
"No, please?" you almost laughed. Bakugou started walking towards him. Your mom stepped in between you three.
She was getting frustrated. "I told you to leave her alone. Go to your class." you felt embarrassed.
He scruched his face. Kiri had to drag him to the doors.
She then turned back to you two as if she wasn't just angry, a smile back on her face. "I already have your dress picked out!" she felt so happy planning for tomorrow night. You almost felt good about it. Ever since Midnight's passing, she's been in a rut.

Tomorrow afternoon came, and you were getting ready for the event. You, Aoyama, and Mina were in your room helping you.
Aoyama was doing your makeup while Mina was finishing up your hair. "Thanks, guys, but you really didn't have to." You didn't care about this event enough to look good for it.
