You are new to UA, having come from the States over the summer with your mom due to an incident at your last school. You start your days by becoming a hero to help find your dad. Over time, you begin to ask... are you really faking? Are you even str...
You were sitting on the floor in your room. It was the night before the play. You weren't nervous or anything, considering most of your part is sleeping.
Instead, you offered to tweak Bakugou's gauntlets, so you've been surrounded by these oversized grenades, broken apart all around you, for the past few hours.
Then you heard a knock on your door. "Yeah?" It opened to Mina holding some folders. "Hey, babe."
"Hey... are you working on his costume or something?" She tiptoed around the pieces to get to you. You looked up at her momentarily as you were really focused on your wrench.
"No, he's just been having issues with his gauntlets. Probably a crash that busted them. It would've been longer to take them to the support class." You explained as she looked around for somewhere to sit.
Her gaze stopped at your desk. Your notebook was open to sketches of a mechanical back assisting device.
"Is something wrong with his back, too?" You glanced up again to see her looking at your desk. You got up to see what she was looking at before quickly shutting the notebook.
"Oh, uh, n-no." You sat back down to keep working, but Mina was confused. She then noticed it was your green journal.
"What was that then?"
"N-Nothing, just something I'm trying ou-"
"Y/n... was that a Bunny invention-"
"No! I..." You dropped the tools and stood next to her, opening it back to the page. "I'm um..." You looked at her. "You know about Kat's dad, right?"
"Yeah."
"Don't tell anyone but I'm making a device for his back to help him walk again." As you described your plan, Mina's face slowly lit up.

"WHATT?!!"
You quickly covered her mouth. "Shhh!" She took your hand off.
"Sorry! What?? That's so nice! Why are you keeping it a secret?"
"I don't know if it will work. I don't want to get people's hopes up. It will also probably take surgery, so a lot is riding on it working."
"Well, what if his dad doesn't want it?"
You shrugged. "Then he won't get it. But I already talked to Mitsuki about it, and she's on board. She told me that he'd love the ability to walk again. But I-I don't know." You looked towards your drawings. "I really hope it works."
She placed her hand on your shoulder, and you two looked at each other. "I'm so proud of you."
