Carnival w/ Bakugou

Saturday came along after a very long week. You were waking up to someone knocking at your door.

You opened it to Izuku. He didn't look good, though. "Hi Izuku."

"Hi, Y/n..." You were slightly taken aback.

Oh wow. No nickname.

You let him come inside. "Is something wrong? You don't look okay." He sat on the edge of your bed, looking down.

"I um..." he twiddled with his fingers. You walked up to him, standing in front. "I don't... think I can be with you..." he whispered that last part.

Oh...

You knelt, touching his hand. He looked at you but couldn't hold it. "Is it because of my incidents?"

"N-No. It's the league."

"What do they have to do with me?"

"Have you ever encountered the league?"

You have no idea.

You thought of what to say. "Uhh, well, not really? I work with Hawks so..."

"Oh yeah. Well, they're extremely dangerous and want my quirk. I don't want them to go after you to get to me."

Ohhh... he really has nothing to worry about...

You sat next to him. "Is this why you also haven't been around your friends?" he looked at you. "I watch you too sometimes." You've noticed Izuku being alone or distant and quiet recently, especially this past week.

"I've... thought about running away-"

"WHAT?" You placed your hand on his arm. "That wouldn't even do anything. You have too many people here that care about you for you to even make it far-"

"I know." he had to stop you. "That's why I'm still here," he sighed. "Maybe if nobody was connected to me, then nobody would get hurt because of me."

"That's how you get depression, Izuku." You started rubbing his arm. "You need connection. You can't just be lonely forever, especially with what we go through all the time." Then you looked forward, bringing your hands to your legs. "I get that you're scared for us, but what are you going to do next? Avoid All Might? Your mom? Do you really think the league will be the only people after you?" You held his hand. "You're a hero. People will be in danger, but you'll be there for them. Just like we'll be there for you."

You saw him begin to whimper before leaning in to hug you. "I just want you guys to be safe."

"Then stay." You let him cry behind you.

After your talk, you walked him back to the door. You could tell he's been alone with his thoughts for a while. Just confiding in someone about his fear of his friends and family's life uplifted his demeanor, even if it was just a little.

Before he walked down the hall, you said to him, "And if you even try to disappear," he turned to you.

You saw white.

"You'd better hope the league finds you first." Then you gave him a smile.

He nervously scratched his neck with a weak smile. Then he looked more sincere. "Kachann's lucky to have you. Well, I guess not yet. But, you know..." then he walked away. You stood by your door and crossed your arms. You faded your eyes.

Everyone thinks I already chose him...

Later in the day, you tossed your phone on your bed after texting the league to set up a meeting soon.
