Too Busy

It was the morning of Halloween. Some really nice lighting was coming into the common area from the large windows, and it spread into the kitchen where you were.

You were nodding your head to the music playing in your headphones. You were making breakfast, standing by the stove.

Then you turned your head to grab some chopped onions to add to the already seasoned eggs in the frying pan, "AHH!" you jumped, which made the redhead jump.

"Oh uh..." Kiri uncrossed his arm and leaned against the kitchen counter, smirking. "Sorry, Y/n, I didn't mean to scare you."

"How long have you been standing there?" you add the onions in.

"Like 5 minutes, you didn't hear us calling you?"

You raised a brow and put your headphones around your neck. "Us?" Just then, you felt an arm go over your shoulder. You looked at it, then smiled as you recognized it. "Hi, Kat." you said before looking up at him standing next to you.

He kissed you on the cheek. "What's good, Y/n?" he smirked, looking at you. Then he looked at your frying pan. "What are you making?"

"I'm making breakfast for Mina and I as a sorry."

"Sorry?" Kiri raised a brow.

"I'm not spending Halloween with y'all-"

"What really????" he whined.

"Yea, Dom needed me for something, so I promised to help her, sorry." As you explained, Bakugou took a piece of egg from the frying pan and popped it in his mouth.

"You can't help her tomorrow?" the blonde asked.

"No. I've been wanting to see her anyway- dang, if you're hungry, I can make you some too!" You smacked Bakugou's hand away as he went to take more pieces. He chuckled a bit.

"Why don't you ask her to hang with us?" Kiri asked.

Bunny Business...

"Cuz we aren't really celebrating Halloween, I'm helping her with a project."

"Aww... Well, speaking of projects, what's your science project on? Mine's on Rocks!" You almost laughed at Kiri's enthusiasm for his topic.

"Oh shit," you flipped the egg over and made space on the plate with other breakfast items. "I completely forgot to start mine. I've been helping Mina with hers."

You were looking down at the stove, so you didn't see Kiri's eyes look at Bakugou and quickly look at you, nudging his head like he was signaling something.

Then Bakugou moved his arm and leaned back on the counter on the other side of you, now with the boys on either side. He took another piece of egg, quickly popping it in his mouth, then crossed his arms. "I swear I'll smack you!" You waved the spatula in his face, and he chuckled again.

"Uh, well..." the blonde then spoke. "Since you're busy today, do you maybe wanna work on it at my house this weekend?" he was tapping his feet and looking around the room as he asked. After a short pause, he shifted his eyes to look at you, wondering why you were taking so long to answer. He saw you looking at him with a smile, and you were mid-holding the eggs.

Is he nervous? Just asking to do homework together? Awww...

You saw a small hint of pink come on his cheeks. "Yes? No?" he snapped you out of your thoughts, and you laughed.
