(Thanks to @_baller_2020_ for the idea! So for this one, it's kind of an AU, but I just thought it was cute. Also, with the first date one shot, I kind of said how they met (just that you worked in the tower and Bucky came and he feel in love with you instantly and was insanely nervous around you.) But I liked this idea so I wanted to write it! Enjoy!)
Everyday you walked home from work. It wasn't too long, a few blocks. It was nice to get a walk in everyday.
But today the weather decided to downpour. And you had forgotten your umbrella. And the street you were on had no cars and barely any other people, so you couldn't call a taxi.
You let out a big sigh and decided to just go with it. You stepped out the door and began walking toward your house. You figured; hey, it's just water, it's not that far, and you'll be home soon.

You'd been walking for about just a few minutes when all the sudden you didn't feel the rain anymore. You still saw it, but couldn't feel it. You looked to your side and saw a man there, holding an umbrella above both of you.
"Hi, sorry. You just look miserable and wet so I thought I'd share." The man said. He was a little shy, but obviously brave enough to share an umbrella and begin a conversation.
"Oh...ah," you were so stunned to see someone else on the street; especially when there was this much rain. "Thank you." So you decided to just go along with it.
"No problem." He smiled at you, and you smiled back. He was handsome, you had to admit that. "So what's your name?"
"Oh... Ah, (Y/N). How about you?"
He smiled. "That's a nice name. And I'm Bucky,"
"Bucky?"
"Yeah, that's just my nickname though. My real name is James, but I prefer Bucky." He laughed a bit, but remained slightly shy. He was becoming even cuter than before.
"So, ah, where are you heading? I usually never see anyone else on this road,"
"Oh, I was just exploring. I knew it was going to rain and I like to walk in it. It's relaxing to me. What about you?"
"I work just a block back that way," you pointed behind yourself. "And now I'm heading home, just a few blocks ahead."
"Well, ah, I'll walk you home, then." He knew what he was saying was cheesy, but he was nervous and didn't know what else to say. He thought you were beautiful and seemed very nice from the small conversation he's had with you.
"I'd like that," you smiled at him. It was nice to have someone with you.

You got to the landing in front of your house, finally out of the rain.
"Well, it was nice to have someone to walk with. Thank you again, for sharing your umbrella. I really appreciate it."
"Oh, well maybe we could share another umbrella," he got embarrassed, knowing what he said sounded so dumb. He looked down, shook his head, and began to try and redeem himself. "Oh, ah, what I mean is that..."
"I know what you mean," you giggled and smiled to him. "Here, come on in. We can fully dry off and maybe make a plan to share another umbrella." Bucky smiled back to you and nodded.
You led him up to your place and made a date.
