Karlie's P.O.V

I decided that I needed to get to work straight away if I was going to have any hope of ever saving my family, so while on the plane to L.A I call up every real estate broker that I know and organise a time to meet them the next day. Succeeding I sit back in my seat and accept a glass of orange juice the hostess handed me. "Thank-you." I state before she walks away, she says nothing except smiles. The flight goes well and I wonder whether Taylor is back in L.A yet or if she went to Nashville. Thinking about it I decide that it's probably better for Bianca to be comfortable and Taylor may need help so she probably went to Nashville where her parents are. The landing into LAX was a little bit rough but I soon grabbed all my luggage and hailed a taxi into the centre of the city, deciding that a hotel would be easier while I'm apartment hunting. I decided that if I am going to go begging Taylor to take me back that I have to show her that I am reliable and that I do have our family's best interests at heart, this is never going to happen if I don't put Bianca and Taylor first. It's been a while since I thought about what Cara had told me that night in London and she was right, I was selfish. I've been choosing my happiness over everyone else. That trip to London should never have happened, I should have been home with Taylor. I should have been at that three month scan not at a shoot and then eating a burger because that should have been the happiest time of our lives, Cara was right I should have massaged her feet and we should have talked but I acted like a spoilt child instead. Getting to a hotel and booking a room for as long as I need it I find the room and flop onto the bed. Pulling my suitcase near me I grab out my Macbook Pro and start to look for apartments in L.A that are in good neighbour hoods because I'm hopeful that Taylor will want to move in with me again, in New York we moved to her duplex penthouse. Now it's my turn to find a dwelling for us.

Starting in the centre of L.A I decide it's too close and noisy with a young baby so I look further afield but nothing is taking my fancy so I decide to leave it for the professionals who know what they are doing. Plugging my iPhone into the wall charger and turning off my laptop I quickly send a text to Taylor which is something I usually wouldn't do but then again I can play it off because I thought she was coming here to L.A. 'New Message: – Hey Taylor, I hope you and Bianca made it back to L.A okay. I'm really sorry for leaving Bianca with Toni when I should have been taking care of her. I was looking forward to it but apparently it was because of my contract and I had to be in Paris. I know it's no excuse a call to you and you would have known Toni was looking after her for three days. I'm an idiot. Hope to see Bianca's beautiful smile tomorrow with a picture. Call me if you want to talk about things. – Karlie x' Hitting send I freak out and then lie down deciding that it's in god's hands if she decides to reply or not. Less than ten minutes later my phone lights up showing a new text. 'New Message: Taylor – I know you're sorry Karlie and I probably overreacted, but I had no idea what I was arriving in New York to. Bianca and I made it back to L.A a few hours ago and she just went down. Of course I'll still send you a picture of her daily. I didn't mean it when I said I wanted sole custody, I was just mad. I'm still open to what we are doing now, maybe we should do weekend about? I know you're busy so maybe you have her in the weekend? Let me know. – Taylor.' Reading the message only makes me more determined to succeed. I know I have a long way to go but at least when Taylor sends me the divorce papers I won't be losing Bianca too, but I'm still hopeful not to lose Taylor at the same time.

The noise of L.A traffic wakes me long before I'm ready. I guess the jet lag of flying from Paris to New York and then to L.A in the same day has me a little frazzled. Glancing at my phone I see a new picture of Bianca dressed in her pyjamas with Olivia beside her and the pair of them sleeping. It looks cute. I send it on to my mom and get out of bed. Glancing at the empty bed beside me I find it funny how whenever I sleep alone I always find myself leaving the left hand side for Taylor as if she is in the bathroom and will be back again. I shake my head and walk towards the bathroom, grabbing a towel on the way. An hour later I emerge from my hotel room ready to face the day. I have missed emails and calls from management but I don't really care because if it wasn't for them I would still have Bianca and we would be happy in New York but on the negative I wouldn't be in L.A fighting for my family. I inquire at the desk about calling a car and the manager happily calls me one that arrives within twenty minutes and they drive me to the car storage place where I've been keeping my black Range Rover that I brought before Bianca was born. I've ever driven it but it is regularly serviced and driven for me. Thanking Porter I fix the bill for hiring it and leave driving to the nearest Baby's R Us to buy a car seat for Bianca in case I am fortunate enough to be able to drive her around L.A while I'm here. Getting out I feel my phone vibrating in my pocket, not wanting to ignore it I check it and hit 'ANSWER' "Hello." I state in a bored tone. "Karlie Elizabeth Kloss, how dare you just up and leave New York without telling anyone where you are going." My manager screams in my ear, holding the phone away I smile at a few people who walk past trying not to laugh, putting it next to my ear I speak very clearly. "Listen closely to what I say. Are you listening?" She tells me she is so I take a deep breath, "I quit and while I'm at it you're fired." For once she has nothing to say and it takes her several seconds but then she quickly backtracks. "Oh well if you need time, I can make time for you Karlie. Anything you want." I smile.
"Thank-you but I really do quit and you really are fired. Goodbye." Without waiting to see if she tries to call me back I slide my phone back into my pocket and head on into the shop. The doors slide open and within seconds I am overwhelmed by the baby gear. A sales girl comes over. "How can I help you today?" she questions looking at me but I'm still amazed at the stuff that is in the store.
"I uhm need a car seat for my four month old baby." She nods and starts to walk in towards the back of the shop, I follow as she starts to talk. "So anything besides the car seat Miss?"
"Actually it's Mrs and no, that's all." She nods and points out several that I can choose from after I assure her that money is no object. Finally selecting an all in one that will change as she gets older, it's purple with pink, yellow and green stripes running through it. It looks pretty cute and for only $299.00 it's a steal. Taking it up and paying for it I'm served by a man in his early forties. He smiles at me. "First child huh?" I smile and nod. "You need it installed?" I look at him. "My names Jeff, I manage this place. I can install it for you if you want?"
"Oh that would be wonderful." He nods and hands me my receipt before following me outside to my Range Rover. "Which side?" I look at him worried. "Never mind, I'll put it on the passenger side." I nod and let him and within ten minutes he's done. "How did you?" I stutter. He smiles and offers a hand which I take. "Six kids at home the youngest is four. I'm a pro by now." I smile as he even takes the rubbish with him. Checking it before I go he's even faced it backwards. I smile and hop in to drive to see the first real estate lady.
