Karlie's P.O.V

"Kevin Stevenson...Ricky Stock...Karlie Swift-Kloss..." and him announcing my name I stand and make my way towards the stage, a massive smile crosses my face as I walk towards the Dean of Science for New York University. "Congratulations Karlie...fine work." I smile and go to walk back to my seat when he says. "Wait right there Karlie," I turn back as he smiles and faces the audience. "Ladies and gentlemen, what an extraordinary day we have here in New York. But for right now it is my pleasure to introduce this year's honorific science and business student, Karlie Swift-Kloss..." I feel my mouth drop open in shock as I walk back towards the Dean where he waits with a massive trophy. I smile and actually hug him this time before he offers me the podium to speak. I smile and accept, taking a step forward I glance out into the massive group of people, some graduating and others supporting loved ones. Taking a deep breath I look out to the crowd pausing on my wife. I meet her eye and then catch her looking downwards and a massive smile crosses my face. "Wow, okay hey there graduates, family and friends. Obviously my name is Karlie and I just won this awesome trophy but for many of you who had classes with me and others who became friend with me you will understand how much this means to me." I take a breath and look down. "This represents four years of hard work, dedication and a strong base of people surrounding me. When I first applied to NYU I never expected to end up here, it was just a fun course to take but now having been through so much to get here, today I just want to thank one person and that's my wife." The crowd aww's as I laugh. "Cute right?" I question before moving on. "I met Taylor Swift in 2013 and like many of you I was an instant fan of her music and meeting her I was so nervous but as we hung out more and I got texts from her, I became more comfortable around her. Fans always suspected we were together when we weren't but it was late in 2015 when we were reaching the tail end of another tub of chocolate supreme ice-cream, due to heartbreak I felt it. The connection people talk about, I never acted on it because I mean she's Taylor Swift, why would she like me? It was probably not until Christmas that year that we got stuck under mistletoe talking and we were forced to kiss by my sister Kimby who isn't here today but when we kissed it was like everything made sense and from then on we have shared every possible moment together, from love to hate from paparazzi to leaving our jobs behind to our newest job which is caring for our precious baby girl Addison." I look out and see a few people wiping tears and I see Taylor staring at me. "I guess what I'm trying to say is that I am thankful. I'm thankful for the people I have shared this journey with and I am thankful for the people I can call my family and friends but I am so thankful for the woman at the back of the auditorium who I can call my wife. This is for you baby. I love you." I hoist the trophy up as cheers erupt all around me. Smiling wide I make my way back to my seat where my phone buzzes and I check it. 'Taylor' "Hey baby, that was an amazing speech. I have to go Addison is getting grouchy but I'll see you at home later, go have fun with your friends. Love Tay xx" I smile at the text as Joanna beside me nudges me. "Is that wifey?" she questions as I smirk. "Knew it." She states as we turn and watch the remainder of the graduation.

I walk into the apartment at 10.30pm that night. The TV is on and the house is lit up with light so I know Taylor is still up, possibly Addison depending on if she had her afternoon sleep or not. Hanging up my handbag and placing the trophy by the door I lock us in for the night making sure to lock the door and put the chain across, despite us living in a duplex in New York with security. I walk towards the lounge not wanting to call out in case Addi is awake but when I walk in no one is here, the TV plays old music videos and I see it's turned onto Taylor's one's which means that Addi has been up recently. Taylor's music always puts her to sleep, which is weird but it's what we used to listen to in the car on our way to appointments or in the plane to Nashville. It has always surrounded her and Addi loves 'Wildest Dreams' from 1989 and sometimes 'Enchanted' from Speak Now. As I go to walk around to find the damn remote, since I never remember where it goes I'm lucky that I don't scream upon hearing Taylor speak from the couch in her adorable sleep filled voice. "K-Karlie...when did you get here?" I turn around, remote in hand and look at my wife not very amused. "I just got home, I didn't know you were there though so you're lucky I didn't throw this." I state gesturing to the remote. "You would have thrown that remote at your wife and sleeping daughter." She states looking over her shoulder because she was facing the back of the couch. I walk closer and see Addison curled up against Taylor, sound asleep. "Why is she there?" I question getting down on my knees and peering over Taylor to see my precious angel. "It stops the light from bugging her, my IPod was flat." She declares and I smile whilst leaning down to kiss her. "How was she this afternoon?" Taylor nods and confirms she was a precious angel. I nod thankful that she was easy. "Come lie down," Taylor states but I shake my head. "Nope, let's put her into bed and lie down together." She looks at me.
"Oooh, I like your idea."

Taylor's P.O.V

Waking up to a cold bed I sleepily open one eye but everything is blurry. 'Joys of wearing contacts' I declare as I sit up and grab my glasses from the bedside table. Shapes in the room emerge as I smile at the blue sky that can be seen through the gap in the curtains. My life certainly hasn't changed much since I moved to New York apart from the people who are now in my life. I never expected Karlie to like me as much as I liked her and certainly not ever love me or kiss me. But she does and she did kiss me and a little over two months ago, I gave birth to our beautiful daughter Addison Jane Swift-Kloss and all through the labour Karlie was there. I thankfully went into labour at 5.16pm and Addison arrived at 7.16am the next morning, absolutely beautiful and with good timing so her mama could still go and make her final exam. It was strange that not even three hours after I gave birth Karlie was sitting her final exam for coding downtown at NYU. She was back as soon as possible with the biggest bouquet of flowers I have ever seen and the special teddy we picked out for Addison before she was born. We had chosen to keep her sex a secret and we didn't even know. Everything is gender neutral whites and browns and now that we know she is a girl Karlie rang all the stores we held boys and girls blankets, sheets, toys, clothing for and it was all delivered to the apartment where my mom and Karlie's mom put it all away for us before we arrived back home.

Walking out to the hallway I see the nursery door open which means Karlie has her downstairs, my feet barely hit the bottom step before I hear the sound of my own voice coming from the TV which means that Karlie's IPod is flat too. "Morning baby." I say as I see her rocking Addison in the baby sling close to her chest. "Morning sweetness." She states as I walk over and kiss her before Addi grumbles, demanding some love too. I place a gentle kiss on her head. "Morning miss Addi, are you being good for mama?" I question as she opens her eyes and I see the flecks of green floating in them. Addison has blue eyes like mine but when she is content they have flecks of green which is nice because she is always content and so I get to look at her cute face that mimics her mama's when I get bored which is never, she is a handful sometimes and always wants to be held. I walk towards the fridge to start breakfast which makes Karlie smile and go. "Oh my god, I'm starving. Thanks babe."
"No worries. I love cooking, waffles okay today?" Karlie nods and I start working but as soon as I go to pour the batter into the waffle maker I feel her arms wrap around me. "You better have put Addi down before you hug me." Karlie laughs.
"Of course, now kiss me." I laugh too and turn to her and comply with her wishes.
"God I love you."
"I love you too Karlie."
