Married Life

If you've read my latest full length Kaylor story 'New York Surprise!' you will recognize the characters and understand the names used more. The italics is talking about a fake publisher prior to Tree Paine who didn't support Taylor.

Taylor's P.O.V

I couldn't quite believe it, eighteen years! Where had the time gone? I reached into my purse and fumbled around for my keys. "They are here babe!" My better half, Ms. Karlie Kloss, pulled them off the top of the fridge and handed them to me. "Thank you." I took them from her and gave her a quick kiss on the lips. "Are you two ever going to get to your anniversary dinner?" Our sixteen year old daughter Aubree just couldn't wait to get rid of us. "You know you have Martin outside guarding the door if anything..." Karlie began to say but Aubree was quick to say,
"I know mom." She rolled her eyes at us and walked back into her room, and we both giggled a little. "Sixteen..." I raised my eyebrows.
"We have both been there..."Karlie wrapped her arms around my waist and lead me out to the car. Once upon a time, we had lived in a city, and now, we were raising our daughter in the suburbs, the suburbs had been good to us when it came to raising Noah our eldest and now with Aubree and our youngest, the twins Gregory and Christopher still being at home.

*Flashback Starts*

"What do you mean it will ruin my career?" I sighed and looked down at my iPhone, disappointed at what my publicist was telling me. "I mean, telling the entire world about you and Karlie and this whole love business will ruin everything. How will you explain dating boys to anyone?" He rambled as I sighed again.
"A young and experimental faze." I replied quickly, thumbing through a pile of mail. The specific PO BOX it came from was all my bills. Usually someone else dealt with that sort of thing for me, but I was trying to take on more, since I didn't anticipate being this taken care of forever. "Do you really think everyone will buy that?" He asked. It was his turn to sigh. "Look, I worked very hard to find you Matt Healy to cover for you, so I suggest just sticking to him and this life for the magazines and..."
"Tom," I interrupted. 
"Yes?" He asked. 
"You're fired." I hung up. I was finished listening to him, finished hearing about how I needed to be what I wasn't. He had signed a contract saying if he released any info about me should I fire him, I could not pay him or choose to sue. I no longer needed him, and he signed the papers in Cali, therefore, he couldn't fight it in any way.

I called Karlie. "Hey you," her gorgeous voice was on the other end. 
"I need you." I replied. 
"Be there in twenty." She replied. She stood in the doorway, and I ran full-speed at her, wrapping my long legs around her waist as she held me close. She looked up at me adoringly, and I leaned down to give her a kiss. Gently sliding myself off of her, and I whispered "I fired Tom."
"Why?" She took off her peat coat and grey scarf and hung them up, and followed me to the living room. She looked so sexy in just jeans and a white t-shirt. "I just," I sighed and sat down on the sofa. "I don't want to be told how to live my life anymore." I wrapped her arms all around me and relaxed into her. "What was he saying?" She asked as her face buried in my hair. 
"To continue to pretend to be something with Matt," I replied. 
"You two have only appeared out together once, and it was terrible." Karlie sighed and massaged my shoulders slightly. "I know." I nodded. "He clearly has someone else, and I don't have any feelings for him." I reached up and put my arms around her neck. 
"So..." She pulled me close. 
"So...Hon..." I looked up at her. "I want to come out."
"Are you absolutely sure?" She asked me, a puzzled look on her face. "I mean, everyone in my profession is bisexual, the world knows that." She shrugged. "But in yours..."
"In mine," I began, kissing her finger-tips. "More of us need to start standing up." I said seriously. "And when and where would you tell the entire world this?" She asked me. 
"I was thinking on Ellen." I replied. "I am lucky I kept my own phone full of numbers and made my own connections, just in case I ever did cut Tom loose. I might need to have you speak too," I bit my bottom lip, nervous about how she could react. "Anything for you my love." We kissed again.

*Flashback Ends*

The intimate dinner we had planned was perfect, complete with candles and pinots. We slow-danced to the jazzy music, and enjoyed the night for as long as we could. I wore a black and white dress, and she wore a cream coloured suit. "What if we just phone Martin and asked him to keep an eye on Aubree, Gregory and Christopher all night?" I asked Karlie, pulling her close. "I mean," I looked seriously into her green eyes. "What if we decided to stay at a hotel tonight and just, treat ourselves?" I smiled widely at her. We hadn't done anything like this since we had become parents sixteen years ago. Karlie smiled widely at me and pulled me closer to her, kissing me passionately before replying. "I think it's an excellent idea." She replied, kissing my forehead and keeping her hold on me. "I might have already had something like that planned." She winked at me, and pulled me closer. "Follow me."

Ever since we were both kids and had seen "Home Alone 2 – Lost in New York", we had both wanted to stay at the Plaza. It was one of those funny things where we had stayed in every hotel in the area over the years, except for this one, and we didn't know why. We got our key, which was still a regular lock and key, and made our way to our room on the fourth floor. Most people don't imagine suites on the fourth floor, but it was perfect. There was a giant king size bed in the middle, surrounded by a canopy with rose petals on the floor leading up to the bed, and candles lit all over. "Do you like it?" She asked. My jaw must have been hanging on the ground by now but I managed to nod and hold back tears. "It is perfect." We went inside and that began our evening together, the way we'd always envisioned spending an anniversary together once married.
