"Don't you think we should give it a chance?" Karlie's eyes almost seemed desperate, but her voice made her think differently. It was low, almost a whispers and it rung with confidence. Taylor knew what she was doing. Maybe she had done it a million times before, but it was something that had probably been on her mind for a while. "I don't know." Taylor said and she meant it, she really didn't know if all of their fans were right; could this be a wonderful thing?
For the past year now it was Karlie and Taylor facing the world as best friends, but now it was almost as if everywhere they went fans were non-stop on this so called-ship Kaylor. It made them both feel uncomfortable, the thought of holding each other closely it didn't make their stomachs twist and turn instead, it almost seemed repulsing in a way...However fans had this weird way of detecting things that celebrities don't always pick up on. That made Taylor think; wasn't she the one to pick up the heartbroken pieces after his last breakup? And for sure she was always right next to her whenever she was a little too emotional after writing a song. It was as if they were a big dynamic duo, they were a pair and no one could tear them apart. "Maybe..." Taylor said. "Just maybe they're right."
"That's what I'm afraid of," Karlie said, spilling her emotions for her to hear. She feared the same. The thought of losing her as a best friend felt scary, she didn't ever want to lose her, and she was the best thing that had happened to her since Scott Borchetta first signed her. She didn't want the possibility of everything going downhill like her last relationships. But deep down she knew Karlie wasn't like that. She wasn't the kind of girl you have a couple of months fling with then throw her out into the streets and write a dozen songs about her. She was the epitome of everything warm and cosy. Karlie, as cliché as it sounds made her happy when skies were grey and vice-versa. Thinking of her bright green eyes made Taylor fill with warm hot chocolate, she couldn't even imagine writing lyrics about how she was just another picture to burn in her notebook.
"Okay let's make a deal. We kiss once, and then never again. Unless we both end up liking it, which..."
"Which probably won't happen," Karlie said finishing up Taylor's sentence.
"Exactly!" She said, "it's just that three years is a long time for two close girl best friends to not kiss. We have to at least once and we don't have to speak of it ever, to anyone. Are we clear?"
"Crystal and if anyone asks..."
"We only kissed to see what it would be like, the influence of both our fans had nothing to do with it."
"Nothing at all," Karlie agreed shaking Taylor's outstretched hand.
"Okay. Are you ready?" She asked, a little giggly. She could never recall making plans to kiss anyone, not that she'd kissed a girl for a while. It was kind of silly to think about, they were agreeing to kiss each other just to try it out. It was like they were in seventh grade. As Karlie and Taylor leaned closer to each other it struck in both minds that this was really about to happen, and neither of them knew what to think about it. The moment their lips met it was like giving water to something dry. Taylor's lips tasted fruity – strawberries, raspberries mixed with vanilla while Karlie's tasted like chocolate. It was a strange combination but yet for some reason it felt good, too good. Taylor felt something in her stomach she never felt for Karlie before, butterflies. As Karlie's lips massaged hers she could feel tiny thing in her stomach. Neither of them could get enough, the taste of each other was way too delicious for either of them to stop. Karlie pulled away for just long enough to say, "We should do this more often." Taylor giggled into her mouth, not parting their lips again to kiss her cute little nose, "We really should. I quite like it." Karlie hummed against Taylor's mouth, pressing for a more intense kiss. "This is really the best kiss I've ever had Tay. Maybe we should you know..." Taylor pulled back suddenly.
"We're going to wait for that Karlie. This doesn't mean I'm doing that!" Taylor practically screeched at her and Karlie face palmed herself, "Oh god, no Taylor that's not what I meant. I mean I'd love that too," she grinned winking at her while she blushed. "But I was meaning making Kaylor official. What do you say?" Taylor threw herself against him. Smiling and giggling she said. "Yes Karlie. Of course we can become Tumblr official, Facebook Official, anything you want." Taylor states but seeing Karlie's face she adds, "within reason."
