Karlie's P.O.V

"Holy state of god!" Taylor screams as I hold her hand as tight as I can without her breaking it. I lean over and caress her face and make her baby blue eyes meet mine. "Listen, you're okay. I'm right here hold on as tight as you want." She nods and grips my hand again. I look at the nurse hovering near the foot of the bed as the doctor looks up and says, "c'mon Taylor. You need to push. On three, ready. One, two, three..." On three I see Taylor's face turn red as she pushes as hard as she can. Then in a rush of time the doctor is holding our baby in her arms. I look at Taylor but she is focused on the baby and the doctor. The nurse clips the umbilical cord as the doctor frantically tries to get our baby to breathe. I attempt to move closer but she holds up her hand. "Just stop there Karlie." She states and I respectfully stop as she rushes out of the room. Taylor quickly collapses back and is almost asleep as the nurse follows the doctor. I'm torn between following the baby and staying with my wife. I decide that my wife needs me more because we are in a hospital and what's the worst that can happen.

It wasn't until much later when the doctor came back looking worried. I immediately sit up and help Taylor to sit up too. "What is it?" Taylor questions the doctor as I nod agreeing with her. We both watch the doctor check Taylor's chart and then she looks at us nervously. "We took your baby, your son down to the neonatal unit to help him with his breathing and while he initially looked to be okay, he quickly deteriorated." Taylor gasps from beside me and holds onto my arm tightly. I look down at her and then glare at the doctor. "What happened?" I question getting angry now.
"He passed away, fifteen minutes ago." I look at the doctor in shock as Taylor begins to cry. "We took plaster imprints for you and will bring him in so you can have a few minutes but although he will look okay, his eyes will be closed and he will look like he is sleeping. You can have fifteen minutes before he needs to go to autopsy." We both nod as Taylor continues to cry. The minute the doctor leaves the room Taylor collapses against me and begins to really sob and I let her, joining in with her. It takes about half an hour before the doctor comes back with a plastic crib and a baby wrapped in a blue blanket. I move away and let Taylor hold him first. She caresses his face and runs her finger across his prominent cheeks. I smile at her and join her on the bed when she asks me to. I look down at him and I don't see us in him at all. "Wow I guess babies must really change he doesn't look like us does he?" Taylor turns to me. "No but maybe that's because of the donor sperm. He could have blue eyes like me. Plus his hair could have been blonde." I nod agreeing with her as we cuddle him and the doctor eventually comes back to take him, leaving his birth certificate next to us, since we were required to fill it out. "I'll just leave this here. I'll also give you an appointment card for a few counselling appointments as this can be traumatic for people. Especially first time parents." I look at Taylor and see her looking longingly at the baby. So I thank the doctor and move to the certificate. Everything has been filled in except for the parent's names and the baby's name. I quickly fill in his name, Noah James Swift-Kloss and sign my name before handing it to Taylor and watching her sign her name. A nurse comes in to collect the certificate and gives us our copy with our plaster feet casts of Noah's feet, they are tiny.

Almost three hours pass and Taylor is let out of the hospital armed with pamphlets about losing a child at birth and when we make it home to our L.A home we just sit on the couch. I've already called our family and they are on their way to see us, my parents are flying out and Taylor's are flying out as soon as they can. It's hard knowing that it was our last chance to have children because I can't have them and we have had four miscarriages and seven times where it hasn't worked on Taylor and after this I don't think either one of us could handle going through it all again for it to possibly not work out. So Taylor and I just sit and hold onto each other, both secretly wondering how we will get through this but I secretly know that we will do it the same way we have done it every other time, with love.

Taylor's P.O.V

The alarm goes off to my right as I roll over and shut it off, rolling back to the other side I smile as I see Karlie lying there still sound asleep. It's weird to still have her sleeping when I'm waking up because she is usually already up and about to go running, but this day every year always stops us. Today it's been fifteen years since we lost Noah, Karlie and I never tried again and we didn't adopt either much to the shock of our families but after losing him so suddenly it just felt wrong to replace him so we didn't. It made it tough watching every other member of our family have kids and our friends but we got through it. Often ending up babysitting over night for friends and family. It's gotten to the stage where it doesn't matter to us now, we have learnt how to live with it and we are in a good place with it now. I carefully support my weight as I straddle her. Leaning down I press my lips to hers and gently wake her with kisses. Hearing her gently moan and respond makes me smile more into the kiss and soon her arms are wrapped around me as she gently rolls us back over so she is straddling me. I look up into her green eyes that haven't dimmed at all since we got together or married. "I love you." I say as Karlie leans down to take my lips again this time gently biting my lip. Soon our pyjamas disappear as Karlie makes her way down my body eventually teasing me until I can't take anymore. "Please Karlie..." I beg as she smiles and gets to work until I am a wet mess underneath her. It doesn't take long for her to bring me to the edge three times until I push her away unable to take anymore. We lie together under our duvet talking about everything. Karlie hugs me and then says, "you feeling okay baby?" I nod and snuggle closer until we are more of one person until two.

Later that night after spending the majority of the day together watching movies and ignoring phone calls we are finishing washing up dishes when the doorbell rings. I glance at Karlie who puts down to tea towel she had been using to dry the dishes and goes off to answer it. I follow behind her as she opens the door to a blonde haired kid standing nervously on our doorstep. "Hey can I help you?" Karlie questions as he nods and looks up as I gasp. It's like looking in a mirror. He looks a lot like me, except he has green eyes. "My name is Cameron and I'm looking for Taylor Swift and Karlie Kloss." Karlie looks back at me as I nod and then she turns back. "That's us, how can we help you?" He looks at us both and I feel a connection. "Well I'm looking for you because your my parents." My mouth goes dry. "What?" I question as Karlie looks at me. I walk a little closer to the door. Glancing at him up and down I reach out a hand to touch him and I watch him flinch slightly so I pause but then I touch his cheek, a cheek that reminds me of my own that I touch every day I put make-up on. "Cameron?" I question as he looks at me and nods. "We named you Noah. Noah James Swift-Kloss." His eyes widen as he looks at me. "Really?" We both nod as we reach out to hug him.

A few hours later Karlie suggested that we take Cameron down to the hospital to make sure he was ours. Sitting in the doctor's office the nurse walks in with the results. "It's a match. You're related." I reach over and hug Cameron as Karlie hugs us both. "Wow! We're parents baby." She says as Cameron smiles. "I finally found you." We both look at him and then at the nurse.
"But he was declared dead when he was a baby, we filled in forms at this hospital." The nurse nods and says, "around that time we had several babies being taken with the intention of selling the children. Cameron or Noah was most likely one of those babies because here he is, still alive and perfectly healthy." We are totally speechless but as we leave the hospital I have a feeling rush through me and I realise that it's a feeling of finding something I thought I had lost.
