Sacrifices

"Cmon Taylor just a little bit more." Karlie calls from her spot on the opposite end of the couch. Taylor stands and huffs and puffs whilst sending her girlfriend a very mean glare. "No way, I've been helping you move this couch around for the last twenty minutes. I'm not used to this type of physical activity Karlie." Taylor groans collapsing onto the couch. "It's fine here." Karlie eyes her girlfriend of nearly a year and nods. "Yes, yes it is." She states eyeing Taylor's figure which was slightly revealing due to the shortened cropped sweatshirt she was currently wearing with a pair of Spandex shorts that were Karlie's. "Are you looking at my ass again Karlie?" Taylor questions her face still buried in the couch cushions. Karlie laughs and states sassily. "I'm always checking you out, specifically when you are dressed like you are right now. You look so hot." Taylor lets out a giggle while sitting up slowly and making sure her assets are showed off in all the right places. Starting with her long legs unfolding, she watches as Karlie needs to suddenly sit down on the coffee table in front of her as she reaches out to touch Taylor, Taylor quickly slaps her hand away. "No touching Karlie." She states loving the low moan she gets in response that lights a fire in her core. Taylor continues taunting Karlie and just as they are both leaning in to kiss each other the front door opens and closes followed by quick footsteps in their direction. They pause inches from each other's lips considering this isn't the worst position they have ever been caught out in.

Tree enters the room quickly and makes her way to the chair they have in honour of Tree. It's an old Tree stump that has been sanded back and made for Tree to sit in. "I see you two are successfully doing what we always catch you doing." She states as Taylor drags Karlie towards her but Karlie quickly changes the position so that Taylor is resting on her instead, it's the way that they are. "Well you did walk in here, it's what you can expect now." Taylor states as if it should be clear to Tree that it will happen more often. Tree sighs and shakes her head. "This wasn't what I expected when you two stated you were moving in together." Taylor and Karlie look at each other.
"Well we do love each other so why not?" Tree nods although she is actually happy for the two women who have been through a lot in their relationship so far, from parents who don't support them to a world that has been calling them lovers since 2014. Two very different worlds, one accepting the other excluding. It had shocked Tree the way that Taylor's parents had behaved considering that they had always wanted what was best for her, the split between Taylor and her family had caused major issues publically as well but Taylor held strong and in an interview on Ellen stated that anyone who couldn't accept who she was would do well to remember not to contact her, this was including music business managers and producers but no one budged except her family. Taylor was quick to tell them that they would be excluded and that there would be no more money, tours or gifts for them. Tree remembers being in that meeting where they all stared at her and her father was quick to say that they could learn to get used to it but Taylor stopped it. "No way, you were not there four months ago when paparazzi stormed into my apartment building, nor for the constant questions I've been asked and you were not there to meet Karlie's parents at Thanksgiving. So no, you will not learn to accept it because I don't want you around anymore." Taylor stood and quickly left the meeting before anything could change her mind. Later that night she fell apart while Karlie held her tight, whispering encouraging words into her ear and kissing her forehead like only a girlfriend could do.

Tree sits back and looks around the million dollar apartment that the two women share and lets out a smile. The only thing that is unpacked is the couch and her chair and probably the bed so they can sleep...if that's what they do. Karlie is the first to offer Tree a drink and food which she passes on saying that she was only checking on the girls and heading back to the office. They nod and as Tree leaves they both thank her for all the work she has put into their relationship so they can be as normal as possible. They both know the sacrifices Tree has had to make to ensure that their relationship isn't torn to pieces but they also know what they have sacrificed for their relationship, photo-shoots, movie deals and Taylor has sacrificed her family and been picked apart for it because she isn't keeping up a certain image. They have all made sacrifices some greater than others but as Tree looks at them before leaving she knows that the sacrifices they have made is for something special. It's not a waste of time.
