Never Again: Chapter 58

Rose's POV

Waking up next to Niall could possibly be the most serene thing I've ever experienced. He looked so peaceful when he slept. I smiled and kissed his rose tattoo on his chest. I didn't want to move but I really had to go to the bathroom.

"Niall," I whispered. He didn't move so I unwrapped one of his arms so I could use the restroom and brush my teeth because morning breath is a bitch. The cold air around me made me shiver as I pulled the duvet off my naked body.

I looked around the room and it was the same as Niall and I left it. Rose petals everywhere, the lights on the headboard. The only difference is the candles that had been lot had burned out, but they left a cinnamon apple smell that made my stomach growl.

I walked around the bed an picked up my robe that was one the floor. I smiled to myself when I realized how perfect last night was. It was magical. I had to stop myself from giggling like a little girl. Wrapped my robe on my body and went to the bathroom. I brushed my teeth and then my hair and went back out to Niall.

To my luck he was awake, his back against the headboard. His eyes were slightly shut and I smiled because he looked adorable. I walked over to him and straddled his waist, surprising him, but he smiled.

"Morning," Niall said, his voice raspy and hoarse. He sounded so sexy I just wanted to take him again. Wow I only had sex one time and I can't even take his voice and not want him.

"Morning," I replied and he smiled.

"Rose," Niall whispered and grabbed my waist. I placed my hands on his chest and leaned in slightly.

"Yes?"

"Last night was incredible," he whispered against my lips and I felt like my heart was exploding. "I know you were nervous, but you, you were amazing," I blushed like I did last night. I hid my face in the crook of his neck. Niall wrapped his arms around my back, rubbing my back with his large hands

"It was lovely," was all I managed to say. We stayed silent until it occurred to me that something was off.

A bad off, it felt so wrong. I gasped and clutched my heart suddenly feeling like I was being stabbed in my chest. I rolled off if Niall and he looked confused.

"Rose, what's wrong?" He asked frantically as I clutched my heart and rolled on the bed. It was so painful, nothing I had ever experienced before. It felt like I was shattering on the inside. I couldn't even make my voice work, I just curled into a ball an prayed that the pain in my heart would stop. Niall was by my side asking why was wrong but I still couldn't speak.

Then as fast as it came it left. It felt like the wind was being knocked out of me and I gasped. But as soon as the pain in my heart left I felt fine. Like it had never happened. "What the hell," I managed to ask as I finally caught my breath and looked at Niall, wide eyed. He was still staring at me intensely with his eyes just as wide as mine.

"What just happened?" Niall asked an moved closer to me.

"I don't know, but it hurt," I cringed and grabbed my chest.

"That's strange," Niall muttered and laced his hands with mine. "Well, maybe you should sleep it off, it's only 6:30 in the morning," I nodded and went back under the blankets. Whatever just happened was very odd considering I'm too young to have a heart attack or whatever that pain in my chest was.

"I'll be right back, I need to check on something," Niall said quickly, kissing my forehead and leaving our room. Strange.

I decided it was best to try and sleep off whatever that little episode was before. I curled up into a ball under the blankets and was soon drifted off by a dreamless sleep.
