Never Again: Chapter 76

Rose's POV

Every night for the last three nights had been the same restless sleep. My wolf was restless when the moon was in the sky and she would stir in my body so I couldn't sleep. Three days ago marked the day I had been gone a week. Every night it was the same. I would fall asleep, then wake up in a cold sweat.

My wolf would beg me to run. She was as alive in me as ever and I knew what I had to do. This wasn't going to stop unless I went back home. It was 2 a.m, I was packing my bag that I brought. Christian had been more than I could've ever imagined in my time away. He was so sweet and cared a lot. He laughed with me. And when I broke down crying in the bathroom the second day I was here he didn't ask why. He rubbed my back and gave me medicine for my head. He was like a brother I never had growing up.

I needed to tell him I was leaving.

After I quickly changed into leggings and a sweat shirt I slipped on my vans and walked into Christians room. His door was slightly opened so I pushed my way in without knocking. He was tangled in his sheets and snoring slowly. His bare chest wasn't hidden and I admired the many tattoos his had on his body.

"Christian," I kneeled against the side of his bed. I shook him softly until his eyes opened. "I have to go." My voice broke as I spoke, Christians eyes went wide and he clumsily sat up.

"What why?" He rubbed his eyes and shook his head.

"I need to go home,"

"Alright then lets go," he began to get out of bed but I stopped him.

"I'll be fine. Please you've done enough just stay here," I knew Niall would kill Christian. He would tear him apart and break his bones when he finds out I've been staying with Christian. I shuddered at the thought and shook my head vigorously. "You can't come with me."

"Why not? I've been with you for a week, I don't want you to go alone Rose," Christian began to get out of bed again but I pushed him back. He looked stunned, I hadn't even tried to push him down but my werewolf strength showed through.

"Please, I know it won't end well with my boyfriend. He's very protective and I don't want him to hurt you," I tried to explain.

"The answer is no. I'm going with you," Christian had a stubborn side and pushed past me. He began to pack his own bag and got dressed in a pair of dark jeans and a sweatshirt, slipping on his grey vans.

"Whatever. It's a long drive," I said, rolling my eyes and left his room. My wolf whined because she knew that Christian was in great danger. I knew it too but if he would come along I would protect him with my life. He was here during this dark time and I would rather myself die than him.

Before I went down the steps of his apartment I grabbed my phone, keys and bag. I didn't wait for Christian, instead I went straight down to my car. I started the engine and played my Coldplay cd as I waited for Christian. I rubbed my hands together and checked my phone for the first time in 10 days. 189 unread messages.

I ignored the messages and put my phone on my car charger. Finally after 10 minutes of waiting, Christian finally stumbled out of the front door of his apartment.

"Finally," I breathed as he opened the door to my passenger seat.

"Shut up," he groaned and buckled his seat belt. I laughed and began to drive. It would take only 12 hours if I made no stops, maybe for gas and food but no sleep until I'm home with my pack.

"You didn't have to come with me," I said and smiled as he slid back into his seat.

"Yes, I did."
