Never Again: Chapter 31
Iris's POV
I woke up in a strange place, the sun was warming my bones, and as muck as I wanted to get up, I was too tired. So I laid on the ground, trying to remember what happened. I jumped up realizing that I broke out of the cage with Aden last night. I gasped at the scene around me.
There was blood, so much blood, I looked down, I was naked but covered in blood. I looked around me but I couldn't see Aden, all I could see was blood.
"IRIS," Aden called suddenly from behind me somewhere.
"Over here" I croaked, my voice betraying me.
He walked up to me, also covered in blood. "Please tell me this is animal blood," I whispered examining the forrest floor.
"I don't know," Aden admitted. I turned into my wolf so that I would be able to find where the source of blood came from. Aden joined me and we followed the trail of blood.
Relief washed over me when I saw a field of slaughtered cows, it was gruesome but I was just relieved that it wasn't human blood. I didn't murder any humans, I was beyond happy. I did kill a herd of cute little cows though. I wagged my tail and Aden barked happily. We managed to not kill anyone, not including the cows, but i was still beyond happy.
We decided to leave, so we weren't here when the owners of the cows arrived. It was late it the afternoon, we slept for a long time, so I was surprised that the farmers didn't see us. I had no idea were we were, all I knew was that we needed to leave and that both of our coats were covered in blood. So we ran.
I found it easier to control my wolf today, because she was tired, she used all of her strength last night. So she just needed to rest. We continued running until I was randomly tackled to the ground by a white object. It was Rose! She climbed off of me and I stood up. Everyone was with her, Niall, Louis, Zayn, Liam, and Harry. Aden nipped my ear and whined, he was confused. I could see the jealousy written all over Zayn's face, but I didn't care.
"Why the hell do you have blood all over you," Harry asked. I ignored his question, I would let them freak out a little bit longer. Niall started growling at Aden, I guess he didn't want another dangerous wolf by his back. I growled back defending Aden.
Then I turned human, Aden, Niall, and Rose did the same. "I'm not on your territory," I snapped at Niall.
"We didn't come here to fight..." Niall started but I cut him off.
"Okay well then leave me the hell alone," I growled, Niall always found a way to get under my skin.
"We came so you can come home," Liam said happily. I realized that I probably looked pretty disgusting since I was covered in blood.
"Oh btw this is cow blood, we didn't kill anyone luckily," I said easing their minds. "Also what makes you think I want to come back," I growled.
"What," Zayn said confused and hurt.
"No one stood up when Niall kicked me out...besides Rose, she was the only one who questioned Niall!" I spat.
"Why would we question our alpha, Iris," Harry asked.
"BECAUSE HE KICKED ME OUT," I roared.
"We thought it was for the best, he just wants the best for the pack!" Louis defended. I could feel my wolf stir. They didn't think Niall was wrong, none of them were even paying attention to Aden, they just wanted to defend their alpha. Rose stood their quiet, I know she was waiting for me to calm down before she talked to me. But I was beyond pissed at the others.
"It isn't their fault, Iris, it is in their blood to trust the alpha's decisions," Niall defended his pack.
"So they follow their alpha even though he is a stupid asshole" I growled.
"IRIS STOP! He made a mistake," Liam said. So Liam was on their side, now that hurt more than I thought it would.
"EXACTLY! So why are you defending your stupid ass ALPHA!!" I screamed at them.
"IRIS! He wanted the best for the pack! He thought that If you left then we would be safe!" Louis yelled. I was so beyond pissed and I wanted to rip them apart! They betrayed me, and they think that it was okay! They think That it was the right thing to do! They kicked me out not even caring if I had a place to go.
With a loud growl I turned and crouched down. I wanted to rip them apart. They looked terrified but I wanted them to feel the pain of betrayal.
"Iris don't, your wolf wants this not you," Aden said trying to calm me. But poor Aden, only if you knew that I actually did want this. I howled and jumped on Harry, causing Niall to turn, Rose also turned and so did Aden. It was one against seven. But they would all feel the betrayal, that was one thing that I liked about biting people. I passed my anger, hatred, or in this case betrayal to them as I sunk my teeth into them. It made them feel what I felt like, and it made me feel better.
I bit Harry's leg, and he screamed in pain, but I clawed down his stomach. Niall tackled me off of Harry, but I pushed him off. Then I bit his neck, he yelped as I clawed at his face. I wasn't done yet, I leaped off of Niall and tackled Louis down, As I sunk my canines into his waist. The burning hatred dimmed down inside as I passed it along. Then I repeatedly clawed his chest, as he cried out in pain. Aden was the one to tackle me off of Louis, but my wolf was on a rampage and Aden was In the way. So I rolled over on my stomach and got my legs under Aden, then I threw him off of me. Then I jumped to my feet and charged at Liam. He looked shocked as i bit down on his bicep, then I shook my head around digging into his flesh. He cried out in pain, as he fell to his knees.
Niall was back up on his feet and charged at me, but I bit down on his leg as he tried to bite my neck. I let go and dug my claws into his side and then bit his stomach and shook viciously as my teeth sunk deeper into his stomach. He was clawing at my face in agony but I didn't let go. Suddenly pain shot up my back, and I let go of Niall as he fell to the floor. I whipped my head around to see Rose. She had been trying to help the others but I was hurting her mate so she had to step in. I didn't want to hurt her but my wolf did so we attacked her. I plunged my teeth into her neck and scratched her repeatedly. Her white for was now bloody, but I continued to scratch her, she was also clawing my chest and shoulder up , but the only pain I felt was the burning anger that was racing through my veins. I howled as Zayn pulled me off of Rose. But I whipped around and scratched his face. Then I bit down on the back of his neck, and he let go of me, again I viciously shook so that he fell to the ground in pain.
I had bit everyone but the racing anger and hate wasn't leaving, and it hurt, I hated how angry I was, I howled loudly as Rose tackled me, Aden was trying to help people, Niall was bleeding the worst besides Rose. Rose pinned me down as i snapped at her face. She had a pained expression, but suddenly she slashed me across the eyes repeatedly so that I couldn't see. I yelped in pain but then suddenly someone had me lifted off the ground, I knew it was Aden by his scent, he was in his human form now. He then squeezed my back and I felt my back break. I howled loudly in pain as he broke my back.
I roared as the popping sound of my back breaking got louder. Then with a loud snap he broke my back and I blacked out from the pain.
