Never Again: Chapter 91
Iris's POV
I felt them coming and I knew Rose did too. I jumped awake from my sleep, I had literally slept all day. I was still naked and so was Zayn.
"IRIS, ZAYN!" Rose shouted and barged in. She looked at Zayn as he slowly sat up. "Sorry, but they're close." Rose said looking at me so she didn't have to look at Zayn. I nodded and walked over to Zayn who looked confused.
"Who's coming?" He whined.
"The Daemons." I said lightly, he went rigid and then jumped up.
"I need to help Niall!" Zayn said, tugging on his shorts.
"Be careful Zayn." I said, looking at the tattoo that was a tree.
I remember why I chose the tree, but I don't think he knows why. I chose it because the first time I ever saw Zayn was a couple years ago, and I was sitting in the tree in the front of my yard and it was winter. No leaves were on the tree and I loved it, and I couldn't help but admire Zayn as he passed underneath the tree not realizing I was there. I said hello and he looked up at me, and waved then he continued down the sidewalk.
"Iris, are you okay?" Zayn asked, he was holding the door open. I nodded and kissed his lips softly before I walked out of it, fully aware that people were going to die tonight. I rushed down the stairs and into the living room where everyone was at, they all looked solemn. Maybe even afraid.
What if Zayn died? I shook my head I wouldn't let that happen. My wolf howled with blood lust, excitement, and fear. She was quite loud and everyone gave me a weird look when I walked into the living room with my wolf howling crazily.
Rose and Niall were naked, like me because their wasn't a point in having clothes on if they would just get destroyed. The hunters were heavily armored with guns and padding and the boys just had shorts on. I smiled at Rose and she only nodded her head in my direction. She was worried, I knew she was. Her pack was about to fight a bigger rival pack.
"Christian?" I asked, he was sitting by the window with long silky black wings down his back. He was also shirtless, he smiled at me but I didn't have time to ask why he had wings, but at the moment I couldn't quiet focus on him or his wings.
"Sorry Iris," Liam said grimly, as he bumped into me as he walked over to Niall.
"What is going on? I fuck my mate and sleep then I wake up to this, someone explain what's going on!" I shouted, Niall looked over at Zayn, Zayn blushed and looked down.
"We need all the people we can find for the fight with the Daemons, okay? Good, glad you understand, okay so we need to meet them half way, ambush them from somewhere." Niall said, I scowled at him and then walked over to his side. I guess they trusted Liam, and Christian enough to put our lives in their hands.
"They're getting closer! Okay so Niall, half the hunters, Christian, and I will go ambush them. Liam, Zayn, Harry, Louis, rest of the hunters, and Iris stay in the territory, don't leave it, and everyone please be careful." Rose announced and we all nodded, then we split into the groups. Blake went with Rose, and Dominic stayed with me. I didn't really know the other hunter's names and I felt guilty that they were laying down their lives for us.
I turned wolf, as well as Rose and Niall. Then Rose's group and her took off into the dark woods. I walked outside and felt the wind stir, this was going to be a blood bath. I looked up at the moon, it was hard to believe this could be someone's last night of living.
I glanced at Zayn. He meant the world to me, and so did Rose. And as much as I hated to admit it, I still care for Liam.
We waited for about 5 mins then a loud howl broke out and then another strong howl broke out and you could hear the growling and tearing of skin. I whined loudly not being able to help Rose or anyone. But I could hear the fight and screams in the darkness.
