Never Again: Chapter 38

Rose's POV

I watched as Iris left the house in her wolf form. I felt helpless, but I was anything but helpless.

"Don't speak to her like that," I screamed at Niall as Iris's wolf form disappeared from sight and into the forrest. "And don't talk to me like that!" Niall was on the steps, walking upstairs. He turned to me, his blue eyes filled with hate and disgust.

"Stop being so fucking stupid Rose. Get your head out of your ass and see that she's a monster," he spat and I blinked away the tears that were forming. He NEVER talked to me like that.

It hurt so bad, him treating me like this was so hard. This isn't how he normally is. I don't know why, but there's a change in him in the last week.

"I don't know why you're acting like this, but I'm not going to sit here and listen to you call me stupid! And I'm not going to listen to you call Iris a monster when she's just like us," I couldn't fight the tears anymore. They came rushing down my cheeks and I was quick to wipe them away.

"So what are you saying?" Niall asked. He stepped off the stairs and walked over to where I was standing.

"I think we all know what I'm saying,"

"You can't leave us Rose," Harry said, standing from the couch. I could see the fear in his eyes. I know Niall wasn't the same. Both Louis and Zayn had the same look in their eyes, Niall wouldn't hurt them though. They were his pack. So they didn't have anything to worry about.

"I don't think I have a choice," I wiped my face again. The tears just don't stop nowadays.

"She wouldn't leave," Niall said coldly. "She knows what's good for her, so she'll stay with me," he took a step forward and I took one step back. I was closer to the door now, maybe I could make a break for it.

But I couldn't leave the pack, I couldn't leave my family. It wasn't right for them to see me leave, it would hurt them. I don't want to do that. I just need to fix Niall, I need to make him the old Niall. But how? I didn't even know why he's acting like this.

"I'll stay, but I'm doing it for Zayn, Louis, Harry and Iris. Not you," I said through gritted teeth as I walked to the steps that lead to Niall an I's shared bedroom.

A crack of thundered shook the old house as I locked the door to our room. I knew Niall was the cause of the storm that was forming outside. I could care less. I didn't want to see him, let alone be alone with him in our room.

I ran a shower and quickly washed my dirty body. Once I was done the storm outside only got worse and I rolled my eyes. Niall's temper lately has been unacceptable. He's never talked to me like that, and he hit Iris. Even if he is alpha you don hit a lady, werewolf or not. That would also have to be discussed.

I was going to take Niall somewhere, somewhere we can be alone. Whether he liked it or not, I was going to get to the bottom of this.

I wrapped a towel around my body and went to my dresser. I picked out a pair of leggings and a sweatshirt. I slipped them on and put my black vans. I let my natural brown waves fan out around my face, but I skipped the makeup. I was going to take him somewhere secluded, so it wouldn't matter if I put it on anyway.

I grabbed my car keys from my bedside table and I walked down the stairs. The boys were all sitting on the couch in the living room. In the time it took me to get ready Niall had showered also and put clothes on, thankfully. He must've used one of the others boys showers. I cleared my throat and all the boys turned to face me.
