You are a (A/T)
They said they were trying to protect me....
"It wouldn't be long now. Not long at tall until her heart escaped it's titanium cage and was thrown into the thorns of the world. A perfect little heart to be messed with and taunted with.... not long till my game can begin."
As usual she walked the streets of the village market, all too aware of the eyes burning into the back of her head.
"Is that her?"
"Ugh, it's that thing."
"Why does she even stay here?"
Doing her best the (A/T) tried to brush off their words like dust, mostly accustomed to them now. The village she lived in was a very close community being a tiny place in the country, the next town being a good two hours drive away. You didn't find many villages like this in the modern day.
And yet despite none of the village folk not liking her, and seeing her as an 'it' rather than a 'she', she refused to leave. She was born in this village and should would die in this village, just like her parents did, leaving her to the harsh words of the gossips when they died three years ago.
But there was always one comment that struck her right in the chest.
"It's too powerful."
Yes she may be powerful, but she had ways of controlling her powers. She wasn't a threat and she tried her best to prove it.
Having had enough of all the death glares she started her walk home, after all she'd bought all the things she needed, even if she'd gotten the most oddly shaped potatoes, a cracked jar of honey and a loaf of bread already stale.
Her walk was silent with no one to share it with and so took longer, but she eventually reached her cabin at the edge of the woods. Her cabin was isolated and desolate, just like her.
So considerate of them to leave the worst stuff just for me (!), she thought putting the poor quality items away.
Evening crept killing the light of day, so when (Y/N) was occupying her time doing random chores to keep herself busy, she grew surprised at the amber light that she caught sight of in one of the distant crop fields. She didn't hesitate to dash towards the fire, she could put it out with her powers, even though she knew she'd be blamed for it.
As soon as she was close enough she used her ability to control all of the elements to create a water torrent that ended the flames in an instant, leaving a burned out field. She stood for a second catching her breath, glad the immense heat was gone.
"Impressive."
Snapping her gaze to behind her she was startled to see a black hedgehog with teal streaks behind her, but the thing that was most off putting wasn't the fact that he had no mouth, but the fact he'd gotten behind her so fast. Plus the fact that she knew he wasn't from the village.
"Who are you?" she asked straight away.
He drifted his gaze from the singed field up to her face making eye contact which made her physically shiver.
"I am Mephiles, Mephiles the Dark. And I am very interested in your powers which you just displayed." he said in a slow and deep voice, almost enticing.
"First of all I'm interested in why you started this fire, there's no tinder or matches so it must have been started by magic and I'm the only one who possesses magic in the village. And second of all what do you know about my powers?" she asked back.
