Tails x daughter!reader: Little Artist

You are a fox or rabbit (sorry!)

Never, for a moment, take your eyes off an unattended child!

"Okay (Y/N) be good for your father." a motherly rabbit instructed.

"I will!" a bouncy (fox/rabbit) replied.

"Now I shouldn't be long but I promise that when we come back we'll bake some sweet treats." Cream promised.

"Yay!" (Y/N) cheered.

With a quick kiss to the forehead Cream left her daughter and headed to work, which was deputy manager of a cafe she ran with her friend, more like sister, Amy Rose. (Reference to previous one shot) So today (Y/N) had to stay at home with her dad, the one and only Miles 'Tails' Prower.

Him and Cream had married 9 years ago and had (Y/N) a year later making the tiny thing 8 years old. She very closely followed in the steps of both of her parents, she was kind, well mannered and had a fondness for cooking like Cream. And had a brilliant brain and a passion for mechanics like her dad.

The only downside however was that she had a large amount of curiosity just like her parents, leading to her being very troublesome. It was often debated as to who was more of a handful, her or Sonic and Amy's daughter.

"Dad! Dad!" (Y/N) called running into the workshop.

"What is it Gadget?" Tails asked not looking up from his desk.

"I wanna play!" she said tugging his sleeve.

"Well I'm a little busy at the moment." he mumbled trying to keep his hand steady.

"Then when can we play?"

"As soon as I finish this I promise, but in the meantime I think there's a documentary on mechanics on channel 27." he offered.

She'd already ran out the room and jumped on the sofa, being sure not to sit on her two tails, and frantically flicked through the channels. By watching this not only was it fun for her but she'd have something interesting facts to tell her dad later.

But like it was mentioned a few moments ago, the same as Tails (Y/N) also had two tails. Being his daughter though of course she would, because Tails' two tails were caused by a congenital physical anomaly called Polydactyly. When one is born with extra fingers or toes, or in this case tails.

It was genetic and so naturally there was a 50/50 chance that she'd be born with two tails, and she was. But she loved then because it made her more like her dad.

"Now on channel 27, the history of mechanics..."

Settling down (Y/N) eagerly watched but when the programme finished, dad still wasn't finished with his work.

So she watched an episode of 'how it's made', he still wasn't finished.

"*sigh* I'm boooorreedd!" she howled.

Lazily getting off the sofa she peeked into the workshop and saw her dad still hunched over his desk, but she had to suppress a small giggle when what ever he was working on sparked and then smoked in his face.

"Well that was obviously an electrical current failure and those take time to fix, so I should probably find something else to do..." she said to herself.

She remembered what her mother always suggested when she was bored, which was to look in her craft box. Filled to the brim with things left over from her parents hobbies, so scarps of fabrics, glues and crafty bits and pieces from Cream and old tools and singed inventions off Tails.
