The train clattered nosily as it headed down the coast and away from the city, delivering the promise of sand, sea and sun. And one of the train carriages held ten very excited teenagers, well nine...

(Y/N) the (A/T) stared lazily out of the window, of course glad to be with her friends, but not so glad about their destination.

"Come on (Y/N)! Stop mopping about!" Amy said cheerily gently nudging her.

"I'm not mopping, I'm just looking out the window." (Y/N) replied, knowing her friend was just trying to get her excited as the rest of them.

"(Y/N), I know for a fact that the beach isn't your favourite place, so why exactly did you let us convince you to join come down with us?" Amy asked, worried she and the others had forced (Y/N) into something she really didn't want to do.

"You didn't convince me, as long as I'm with you guys I don't care much where we go. But I do see myself as the supervisor of you lot." she smirked.

"And just what do you mean by that?" Amy questioned humorously.

All (Y/N) had to do was point to the open window which Sonic was sticking his head out of, dodging low branches and trees as Cream kept asking him to be careful along with Tails, Shadow sat there un-amused, whilst Rouge flirted with Knuckles and Silver and Blaze conversed freely.

"Point taken." Amy confessed.

The rest of the train journey was over in the next half hour, and as soon as the carriage came to a halt everyone dashed onto the platform. However (Y/N) was dragging behind slightly having some how being landed with carrying the freezer bag which Amy had brought.

And it was confusingly very heavy.

"Do you need a hand with that?" Knuckles asked (Y/N) seeing she was struggling a little.

"Nope, I've got it!" she huffed.

But she wasn't fooling anyone.

"Pass it here." Knuckles sighed.

She did try to keep her grip on it but Knuckles was sadly stronger than her, she gave up with a frustrated sigh as he sling the bag on his shoulder.

"Thanks... I guess." (Y/N) semi thanked.

"Your welcome... I guess." He replied in the same manner intending to mock.

"Well, well, well, who would have thought you to be a proper gentleman Knucky?" Rouge teased.

"For crying out loud Rouge! I've already had to deal with you for the entire train journey!" Knuckles bellowed.

The two went about squabbling with each other until Sonic interjected:

"Guys look the beach!"

Indeed they had made it to the edge of the sandy area.

"Well done Captain Obvious." Shadow commented.

"Oh quite your childish arguments and let's get a good spot!" Amy ordered everyone.

After picking a spot a decent distance from the sea and not to close to the other beach goers, all the girls, well apart from (Y/N), went to the toilets to change into their swimsuits. So whilst the guys set up the towels and everything else (Y/N) and Tails offered to go rent a parasol.

"Well so far so good, there's been no accidents, although Sonic nearly cut his head off sticking his head out the train window." (Y/N) started a conversation as the queued up at the beach shop.
