Boom!Shadow x reader: A Little Help

You are a (A/T)

It's alright to ask for a little help

On every Island there is always a certain spot or place that everyone avoids. For Bygone Island that was Eggman's layer. No one would dare go up there for the fear of getting caught up with one of his ridiculous robots. Or worse, being asked to pick up his mail for him. Eggman had never gotten along with the post office.

But today that layer had a guest. And it wasn't the usual Sonic gang. However that guest wasn't to keen on staying. The heavy metal front doors opened to reveal a very annoyed looking black and red hedgehog leaving the building as Eggman followed him, who seemed to be trying to prevent the hedgehogs departure.

"Shadow! Please don't go! Your my last hope at eliminating that blue pest! I-I have cake!" Eggman stuttered.

"I've wasted too many hours here already!" Shadow snapped turning back to him sending a glare his way.

"B-but..." he fumbled, shivering at his glare.

"I've told you, I have my own aims which don't involve joining your pathetic team of 'villains'!"

Shadow wasn't one for being part of a team. But when he got a needlessly extravagant letter from Eggman asking him to visit, he did so in the hopes he might have some information to help him with his personal goals. He didn't pick sides and so he didn't care where any information he needed came from.

"Well I may be a villain but even us villains get lonely from time to time! Won't you at least consider joining the group?"

Ignoring his begging, not giving an answer, Shadow continued to walk away, planning to teleport away, when a third voice joined the conversation.

"Gya! My tail! My tail!" a sudden female voice could be heard.

"Whose that?" Eggman mumbled to himself.

Walking to the near by edge looking down on the grey rock surrounding the area Eggman looked about. Shadow too glanced over the edge in the hopes that it was someone he could fight, as that way he could claim he'd done Eggman a 'favour' by fighting someone close to his lair and get him off his back.

Looking a fair bit down away from the layer the two saw a (A/T) holding her tail and which was now singed at the end, most likely on account of the nearby lava.

"Hmm never seen her before." Eggman mumbled itching the top of his head.

"Boss! We found it!"

Orbot and Cubot came bounding up to Eggman excitedly, Orbot holding another robot with dials for its eyes and Cubot holding a fishing net with a piece of seaweed on his head.

"Ah! Finally! Tails' Universal Translator! Now I can decode the names that those pests give to their battle manoeuvres." Eggman said kneeling down and pressing various buttons on the droid. "Oh Orbot and Cubot send some droids to obliterate that (A/T)." He ordered waving a dismissive hand.

The Universal Translator gave a couple of beeps signalling it still worked. Meanwhile a couple of droids charged at the (A/T), to which she took a defensive stance.

"Stay back you tin cans!"

At her words the Universal Translator gave several beeps and whirs then translated on a glitchy distorted voice.

"DON'T YOU DARE TEY AND TAKE THIS CRYSTAL SHARD AWAY FROM ME."

"What!?" Eggman exclaimed "Droids! Don't obliterate but capture that (A/T)!"
