You are human

It's just a game.

"Come on (Y/N) just give it a go!"

"Absolutely not, knowing you (B/F/N) if you bought it it's probably illegal or copyrighted."

"I promise you it's not illegal, loads of youtubers have played it and it looks quiet cool." she continued to try and convince her.

"I'm sorry but a game being called Sonic.exe is hardly a name that fills me with confidence." (Y/N) argued back.

Giving a large sigh at her friend (B/F/N) could see it was a lost cause and lazily sat down on the sofa next to her.

"Seriously (Y/N) you need to lighten up a bit, you've been so down for a while now and you usually love creepy games, so I thought a creepypastsa game might to cheer you up." (B/F/N) sighed.

"I do like creepy games-

"Good! Because I've already downloaded it onto your laptop!"

With that she slided her laptop onto her lap with the file waiting to be opened and a smug grin on her face. She was certain (Y/N) would give in but she was sorely mistaken when she was met with a glare, and (Y/N) angrily slamming her laptop shut.

"I don't, want, to play it."

She then got up and put her laptop away.

"*Sigh* Spolil sport." (B/F/N) grumbled.

(B/F/N) soon forgot the game though when the two began to watch a horror movie instead. (Y/N) was always for a good scare and a good scream, so when blood and guts, decapitated heads and zombies came on the screen she didn't even flinch.

"I don't see why you didn't want to play it though, I mean it's just a game." (B/F/N) commented during the film.

"I'm fine thank you and I don't want to play it." she said for the final time.

When (B/F/N) left that night the first thing (Y/N) did was delete that stupid game off her laptop, sure her screen glitched a little when she did but it was fine as long as the game was gone. Because she didn't want to play it.

The next morning brought about another week of school though and (Y/N) found herself sat at a boring computer screen writing another essay, when her screen began to glitch, again.

"Please no..." she mumbled to herself.

The screen continued to glitch until static continued to play before it vanished revealing a 'Sonic the Hedgehog' logo with Sonic waggling his finger. She desperately tried to shut the programme down but she couldn't.

"Ah ha! So you decided to play the game after all!" (B/F/N) remarked coming up from behind her patting her on the shoulder.

"No I'm not playing it! It just came up on my screen!" she protested.

"Fine just shut it down then before the teacher sees."

"I can't, it's an exe file."

"Meaning?"

"Exe stands for executable file, it means the programme runs by itself and can't be closed until the programme has finished running." (Y/N) explained.

"So just play the damn thing, it's only a game." she said, but as she did so she hit the play button and there was no way for (Y/N) to get out of it.

Happy with herself (B/F/N) went back to her computer whilst (Y/N) stared at the screen in horror. But she knew she'd have to play the game eventually, so she plugged in her headphones and stared at little Tails in the burnt down Green Hill Zone.
