1st Prize! Joyce X Sonic

(I apologise in advance if lines from the game aren't precisely accurate)

A strange world of magic

In a spiral of wind three figures emerged in a scenic area which was much more tranquil than the scene they had just left behind. A tall women who held a scepter seemed un-alarmed, whilst a blue hedgehog and purple haired human seemed very befuddled.

"What the heck!?" Sonic exclaimed his eyes darting around.

"How did we end up here? In fact what are we even doing here!?" Joyce demanded.

"My apologies for the sudden exit." the women apologised catching the attention of the pair "But I have good reasoning for summoning you."

"Who exactly are you?" Sonic asked.

"I am Merlina the Wizard, and you are in the kingdom of Camelot."

This was the last thing Joyce had been expecting today. For all she knew it was a regular day, she got up, waved her family goodbye and headed to school. After school Sonic was waiting outside saying he'd gotten bored so thought he might as well wait for her and Chris. Chris had a club though so Sonic offered to walk her home.

On the way back to Joyce's house they made small talk about how Sonic was meeting up with Amy later for a date. Then Sonic had then noticed a chillidog stand and hadn't hesitated to purchase two. But then suddenly a portal opened up beneath the two!

And they were transported to what seemed to be an entirely different world! Met with a witch like looking character she apologised to Sonic before he defeated several enemies, after which the women with the staff transported the three of them to safety.

And by now Joyce's head was spinning, not being able to take everything in.

"Camelot? As in King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table?" Joyce questioned out loud.

"Yes." Merlina answered "You already seem to know of this land."

"So why exactly did you summon us?" Sonic asked.

"My intention was to solely summon you, not one of your companions."

"Well nice to be wanted (!)"

Merlina then shrouded her face with her large hood "Let us talk as we travel, we do not have much time to spare."

However before Merlina moved she seemed to look Joyce up and down as if assessing her.

"What are you looking at?" Joyce hissed.

"These lands are currently very treacherous, I'm afraid that weak form of yours wont do."

"And what exactly do you mean by th-

Joyce was cut off when Merlina suddenly cast a spell. Once again Joyce was shrouded in a dusty wind, an odd sensation covered her body, a form of pain that didn't hurt in a sense. But as quickly as the wind was summoned it faded.

But Joyce was anything but the same.

"What the!?" Sonic exclaimed.

"It would seem your Mobian animal is that of a cat"

"What on Earth are you talking about!?"

"Uh Joy... look at your hands." Sonic said slowly.

Now unsure and growing nervous she did as Sonic said, only to find claws at her finger tips, her arms and hands now a vibrant purple the same as her hair. There was an odd weight at the bottom of her spine, spinning around she grew panicky when there was a long cats tail!
