I just wanted a friend

-Chris's POV-

I headed back to the small park area looking for Hannah,
However she wasn't there,
I frowned and looked round the area,
I saw a woman with a baby stroller pushing it around the park area,
Ah I see, must be a visitor, she must be sane right? I mean She has a kid.
"Excuse me?"
Her head snapped round to me,
Her eyes piercing me like a thousand daggers,
She was terrifying,
Like she was gonna gauge my eyes out with her sharp dirty fingernails.
"d-do you know a girl name Hannah-
"Have you seen my baby"
"sorry?" I asked confused,
"You've stolen it. You've stolen it, you've took my baby!!!!!" She screamed making me run away,
I suddenly ran into someone,
She fell back,
"Chris?"
"Hannah sorry are you okay?"
"Yeah I am pleasant"
I smiled
"Who is that?" I asked pointing to the lady with the baby stroller with a dirty broken doll in it.
"Mary, you won't get anything out of her" she said walking away,
"Why?" I asked following her,
"She says the same thing over and over again, she lost her baby"
I looked down Sadly,
"She was crazy. And now there is nothing left of her"
"I should really tell the police about this pla-
"They already know, tried to shut the place down. But stopped as it costed more to knock the bulding down than keeping it running, plus they had religion to back them up"
I huffed,
"I brought you sweets and some water"
She put her hand out,
"Here have the whole bag, you look like you haven't ate in like a week"
"That's cause I haven't"
I sighed and rubbed her little back,
"Chris?"
"Hmm?"
"What is your daughter like?"
"She is small, frail but funny, she is also kind, I think she'll like you"
She smiled,
"She seems fun"
"Will she ever be able to come here?"
"No.. Hannah I'm sorry but I don't want her to see this place, even if it's the last thing I'll do I will never let her lay eyes on this place"
"I understand"she said looking down,
"I'm sorry Hannah I really-
"It's okay Chris, I understand. I just wanted a friend that's all" she said her usual voice emotionless.
She let a tear fall,
"Hannah I-
"Excuse me Chris, I have things to attend to"
"I'll give you a push on the swing if you want-
"No- no. I am alright."
I sighed as she vanished,
I sighed and headed home.
It was sunset so I brought home Chinese food.
I hiffed the smell of the car. Making my stomach rumble.
"Maddy I'm home!"
"Maddy?"
I dropped the bag and threw the keys on the table
"Mads where you at?"
The house was silent.
I got worried and hurried outside,
"Maddy where are you!-
I found her asleep on the grass,
I sighed in relief
I scooped her up,
"Baby what are you doing out here silly" I said softly,
She awoke,
"I is sowwy I was clapping banshee and he was so fluffy wike a pillow and I fell asleep"
"I see, you had me worried, were you okay on your own?"
"Yep!"
"Good I'm sorry I left you in your own but it's okay I brought Chinese food"
"Yay!"

We were eating noodles,
"Chwis!"
"What?!" I laughed,
"You silly man dats not how you use chopsticks"
"Well I dunno! Fuck chopsticks!"
"Chwis that's mean say sorry!"
"To what?!"
"The chopsticks!"
"Alright alright I'm sorry!"
"good, now like dis" she said positioning my hands
"better?"
"Better" I rolled my eyes,
"Don't make a face shit head" grinned Maddy,
"Where did you learn that let me guess Vinny?"
"No you"
"Fair enough"
