Blue stained skin

-Chris's POV-

I woke up to Maddy stirring in her sleep, her little head against my chest.
I noticed the black and blue on her soft cheek.
I looked up to the ceiling getting slightly emotional.
My grip tightened round her.
Her little nose twitched and  she lifted her head looking up at me with absent eyes.
"You okay?"
She never said a word, she just wrapped her arm round me.
"We are gonna have to get you a bath Maddy doll"
She nodded.
I sat up,
"Here banshee has been Waiting for a cuddle all morning" I said standing up,
The dog jumping on the bed with its little legs and Maddy hugging the fluffy sausage.

I ran a bath with bubbles and brung out the first aid kit incase anything needed to be treated,
"Okay lovely bath time" I said
She nodded and limped to the bathroom,
She undressed and I helped her in the tub,
She winced from he touching her arms as I eased her down.
"Your okay, your okay"
I washed her hair and chuckled as I spiked her hair up trying to cheer her up a little.
It always used to make her laugh but no. She just stared blankly at the White tiles in front of her.
I rinsed out her hair and helped her out drying her off,
She had cuts and rashes round her wrists from the hand cuffs.
Her skin was stained a blue colour from the rusty metal.
I put some cream on each wrist and bandaged them up tight.
I cleaned the head wound and put a plaster on the side of her head also.
I changed her into some clothes and put her hair up.
She took my hands and I slowly walked her down the stairs.
She limped by my side.
She was so frail, it breaks my heart.

-Ricky's POV-

I lay on the bed and looked across the room to see floss asleep on the spare bed.
I creeped over to watch her sleep.
The black and blue was seeping through her skin like ink stains.
God she must have been battered to the bone.
It was hard to watch honestly,
I headed downstairs and grabbed a bowl of popcorn,
I didn't know what to feed her, I'm not good with that sort of thing.
I sighed and bring up some cereal also.
Hope she likes fruit loops.

I sat the food on the bedside table and planted a spot next to her propping myself up on my elbow,
She looked flustered. Which made sense because she had a night mare durning the night.
I was trying to wake her but she calmed before I could do anything.
I'm not a light sleeper that's for sure.
I placed my hand against her cheek feeling her temperature. She was burning up.
She opened her eyes, her green eyes glanced at me,
"Hey floss"
"H..hi" she whispered.
"You okay, I brung you food"
"Sore" she whispered.
" I know darling I'm sorry me and Chris wished we could have gotten to you sooner"
"It's not your fault" she said sitting up,
I handed her a bowl of cereal and she ate up.
I smiled and she drank up the milk, licking her lips and returned with a smile back.
"I know, you don't really know me but I'm Ricky, Chris's friend? When I found you last night I knew you didn't wanna go back to the orphanage, so Linda let you stay here"
She looked down,
"I'm gonna take care of you for the time being alright, there is no need to be shy, mind you I ding blame you but I'm fine I won't hurt you or be like anything that man was, I can promise you that"
Floss looked up and tucked a red strand behind her ear,
Tears rimmed her eyes she hugged my torso.
I was shocked at the instant embrace but loosened up and hugged back.
"You want to go get a shower"
"Yes please"
"Alright, make yourself at home,"

-Chris's POV-

I got into the kitchen frying up some pancakes when I saw Maddy trying to climb into the kitchen counter and sit on her usual spot.
She tried getting her leg up on the high chair but she winced.
"Is that sore" I asked concerned
She looked over at me and nodded, shame and tears glistened in her eyes.
I sighed kissing her cheek and I lifted her up,
"How about we stay in today huh? I'll call off work"
"But you has tour soon"
"Yeah don't worry it will all work out, and we have tour, your coming with me"
She gave a small smile and I kissed her nose.
"I can't wait to see vinny and ghost and balz, Ryan and Ricky"
"Yeah?" I smiled
"Yeah"
"dad?" She asked,
"hmm?"
"Can we do crafts together"
"That's a great idea, you know Halloween is coming up, why don't we make bat decorations"
"Dats great,"
"I also have a surprise planned after tour"
"Oh?"
"Yep but I ain't telling you anything"
"You meanie"
"Am not"
"Are to"

I kinda wanna sneak out the house and run to the creepy graveyard and hang with the stray black cat that's there.
