Cool enough yet?

-Chris's POV-

I helped Maddy out of the tub and dried her off,
I scooped her up and she changed into her pyjamas,
The sun was setting and Maddy hasn't spoke at all since what happened before,
The police were in and out of the house interviewing me and balz, and Maddy,
Maddy could barely speak to the speak to the police,
I had to sit with her, holding her hand.
She was petrified, her little hands shook and she was so cold.
She sat on the bed with her bruised legs crossed in the bed, her looking sadly at her feet,
I looked at her sadly and sat behind her resting my chin on her shoulder,
I rubbed her little back and she yawned,
"How are you feeling?" I asked
She just shrugged,
I sighed "Maddy, please talk to me, what's wrong, did he say somthing? Did he hurt you?"
She shook her head,
" it was all my fault" she said quietly,
I frowned,
She turned around and picked up my arm which was bruised from the guy shoving me.
"You always told me not to answer the door and what did I do" she said tears forming.
I picked her up and brung her onto my lap,
"You know, when I was younger, my dad told me the exact same thing, 'never answer the door to anyone and let me handle it' he would say, but when I was about 13, the bullies at my school had followed me home, so when I answered the door, they jumped me"
"W..what did they do?"
"When I was at school, they had this thing where they would have a competition against each other, whoever hit the weird kid in the head with a rock the most wins, they used to push me around, kick me, y'know"
She gasped and her head tucked into my armpit,
"I don't wanna go to school!" She said shaking her head,
"Aww baby I'm sorry, but it's probably changed now, plus everyone one will love you"
"Why?"
"Cause you got me, I'm so sick as fuck that when  I drop you off they all gonna be so jelly"
"Sowwy Chwis but their is nothing sick as fuck about swearing like that"
"Wha-?! Vinny shows you swear words all the time, and your not telling him off?"
"Vinny can do anything "
"Oh and why is that?" I smiled playing with her hair,
"Cause Vinny is cooler than you"
I chuckled "well what can I do to change your mind?" I said my head rested on her shoulder,
" your nails are pwetty"
"I can paint your toes if you want"
"Yes pwease!" She gasped
I smiled and took her little foot in my hand and painted her nails black,
"And done"
I smiled and blew her toes making her laugh,
"Cool enough yet?"
"Hmm sorta"
"Alright, the. I guess this is time for this then" I grinned turning on the record player playing The Cure,
I jumped on the bed and began to jump on the bed,
"Come on!" I smiled getting her up us both jumping around,
"I don't care if Monday's blue! Tuesday's grey and Wednesday too" I sang.
"Thursday I don't care about you" she sang along
"It's Friday I'm in love!" We both sang
The sling ended and we both plopped back onto the bed,
We all both stared  at the ceiling,
"Otay Chwis your pretty cool"
I chuckled and kissed her cheek,
"Your the coolest kid I know,"
She yawned I got under the covers with her,
"Maddy, j..just promise me never to go with anyone I can't lose you alright?"
She nodded and closed her eyes,
I did also.

Hey guys hope you enjoyed this filler chapter, it was the last day of school today,if you have me on snapchat I kinda spammed my story of the squad, I'm sorry.
I am actually really tired,
But to clear up my YouTube,
I have recorded a vidio last Saturday but haven't got to edit it yet,
Which I will sometime hopefully,
